Wow have a great time... I got my kit in January of 2005 and have been having fun ever since. I however waited to get the business booster kit until July when the new catty came out though!! Have fun and work on the Stampin Start, everyone loves FREE RUBBAH!!!
I think this is what I should do............wait and get the booster kit when the new cattys come out. How long do we have to get the booster after joining?
TIA!
Stacy

Hi! I just got my kit yesterday! It's like Christmas all over again. Waiting to get the booster in July is a great idea. The website says you have 1 year from joining SU! to order the booster kit.
I've been stamping for 3 years and I'm excited I finally became a demo. Now I can drive my DH even crazier!
I just got my SU ID # yesterday, and so now the wait is on for my starter kit. I ordered the extras right away as well. I figured I might as well get it all while I'm at it!
From what I can tell, I'm Northern Canada's only SU Independent Demonstrator. There might be one in the Yukon - I'm not sure - but for sure in the NWT & Nunavut (at least as of 1 February 2006. The SU site hadn't updated their figures when I checked last. So things could have changed, but it sounds like I'm the only one uphere. At least I know my upline is good! ).

Do you mean the scrabook booster kit? I'm considering rejoining as a demo.. didn't know you could order the extras later... it's not just a one time offer? -JJ
My upline told me that it had to be ordered with the rest of the starter kit, and so I did it then, but maybe its different. All I know is what I was told.

How much of an investment is it to get started as a SU demonstrator? We don't have any handy to me and I would love to do it itf the start up cost is not too high.
OK, I'm going by Canadian prices here, & so if you're in the US I'm not sure what the cost is. It's $280 for the starter kit plus another $70 for the add-on, but the add-on's not the most important part. Oh, you do have to sign-up under a person who's already a demonstrator. I'm sure you'll find someone willing to have you in her downline.
If I misquoted the prices, I apologise, but that's what I paid. Oh, plus applicable tax on top of that. There's no PST here in the NWT, but there is GST. Oh, yeah, & S&H.

For US demonstrators the cost is $199 for the starter kit and an extra $50 if you add the scrapbook supplies. There's also a "booster kit" that you can get w/in a year of signing up and it's $36 (I think) and you get a box of catalogs, 2 sets of mini catalogs, a set of incentive stamps, order forms, and post cards. It's definitely worth it for the cattys and the incentive stamps if nothing else.
