CC158: Krafty Orchid Shadows
Krafty Orchid Shadows... sounds sneaky and a little spooky, doesn't it? But it's not, I promise!
By the way, I am so very happy to be subbing this week for Color Diva Emily, who is hanging out with her sister in China. I've always thought it would be a blast to come up with a color challenge that would strike fear in the heart of SCSers (or at the very least give a little indigestion), but then came the pesky task of making a sample with that combo... So instead, I chose three of my favorite colors that would also serve well for any of those last minute Easter cards you might need:
Kraft (possible sub: Creamy Caramel),
Sage Shadow, and
Orchid Opulence
Here are my examples:
Love Birdies
and
Peace Lily
CC158 Gallery
Please put CC158 in your keywords section (and if you utilize more than one challenge with the same card, use a comma to separate your keywords) so we can find your card! If you need help uploading click here!
And here's a quote from Emily about what to do if you have an idea for a future color challenge: "As always, I am open to suggestions for future color challenges! Please pm me -- emilymomto3boys -- if you have one. DO NOT SEND ME AN EMAIL!! If you do not include a sample, it is harder for me to use it! I will probably not respond, as I get several, but I save them for future reference!" (<-- from Emily, not me! : ) )
Thanks for playing! Enjoy!!

Same here, no kraft. But I have used creamy caramel on a color challenge before subbing it for kraft.

I'm not Carole but, I'd think Creamy Carmel would be as close as you can get. But, Carole probably should tell you for sure that it's okay?

Hi, everyone! Thanks, Carole for filling in! Great colors today!
Mother was rushed to the hospital yesterday... We found out last night that she has a tumor in her stomach...And, now she can't breathe...She's only 61...I made this card for a VERY understanding RN who is her night nurse... I PROMISE I will comment on cards when I get back from visiting her today!
Here's today's submission:

I don't have any Kraft either (must do something about that!!!!!) so I substituted some Creamy Caramel. I needed a card for my DH's birthday tomorrow and these colours were perfect. DH's favourite colours are Green and Purple. OK, so Opulent Orchid isn't exactly purple, but hey, it's close enough - lol!!!!! Here's my card:

LOVE this color combo! I don't usually get to do the challenges during the week, but I may need to sneak this one in later tonight after work, school, band practice, soccer, opera rehearsal...
Thanks for the challenge!

Carole, you are a humble and rockin' hostess!! (But you already know about the 'humble' part!) I'm shocked (shocked!) that you would choose bright colors......you just never know about some people, huh?? :-) Will get to work on this ASAP!

Well, I did my first challenge! It was fun, but what a day to decide to join, one of my least favorite colors Orchid Opulence. Anyhoo, here's my card:
A Reflection on You - Definitely nothing to write home about but there will be another challenge. Not sure if I'm linking this right as I'm not sure how to do that! LOL Just in case, my gallery is Kelly65 This is definitely better than exercise! ;o)
