Limited Supply Challenge 22 - Please join the fun!
TGIF! It's Friday and time for another LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE!! Im your guest hostess for this week! Remember what it was like before you had a whole room full of stamping supplies? Let's see what everyone can come up with from this list. Remember that you can use any combination of things on this list, but you cannot use anything not listed below. When you upload your card to the gallery please put LSC22 in the keyword section and post a link to this thread so we can all go look. Everyone is welcome to play -even if you've never done a challenge before...please join us!!!
Inspiration for this challenge: I am obsessed with buying cool paper but dont scrapbook a lot. I end up using more on cards, boxes and little items with it instead.
The Challenge: My challenge is to use only one sentiment stamp (no image stamps allowed), one color ink and printed "scrapbook" papers on your card.
The Supplies
Stamps: One sentiment stamp
Cardstock: One color (neutral OK) for the card base, but printed paper for the rest
Ink: Any one that matches your card (or non-card item if you choose!)
Accessories: Fibers, Ribbons, EP, heat gun, pastels, glitter, Pearl-Ex, adhesives of your choice, eyelets & setters, brads, snaps, Square and/or circle punch.
If you can't upload to the gallery you can still play at home. You don't need everything on the list to play. Just use what you have. You are more than welcome to combine this challenge with any of the other challenges going on during the week.
Cool challenge,,,, I swear you challenge gals read my mind,,, I have wire for the other challenge which I bought a whole bunch of different colors a few year ago just to do stuff with and never did,,,, Story of my life!!!
and now this challenge,,,, and boy do I have a lot of this patterned paper,,, lol,, I have bought two "Slabs" at Michaels when they have had a sale. I have sorted all of it and looked at every page but I hoard it cause I might want to use it for something special and I dont want to use it up.... I have a bunch to pick from,,,, Tada,,, now I have a purpose,,,, thank you

I had a bunch of fun with my entry, these challenges are really exciting to participate in, they get me thinking, and doing instead of walking past my stash!

Hi there! This is my first time with this challenge and I have to say that I took the instructions VERY literally. I didn't use anything that wasn't specifically mentioned in the initial challenge. There was some stuff I wanted to use, but I was worried because it wasn't mentioned. Can you tell I am Type A? My cards look pretty plain in comparison to the other great cards on here already. Thanks for looking anyway!
Hey! I actually did another LSChallenge! I really wanted to add stitching to this card but it didn't mention it so I wasn't sure if it was allowed. This challenge always makes me sooooo nervous. I'm afraid someone is going to slap me through the computer if I add something I'm not supposed to!

Happy weekend!
OK, now you're being silly! Sew away if you want to - and so far, I haven't seen anyone get slapped over a challenge.

You are totally cracking me up Julia! I mean come on - a little cyber-slap wouldn't hurt ya anyway!!!! ;) Good for you for holding back and sticking with the rules! :p
(This message has been brought to by the Challenge Police. Play by the rules and no one gets hurt!)
This was a fun challenge. I went really simple but it's fun to think outside the box and try to make something without all the goodies we're used to. Thanks for the challenge.
LOL,,,,,, Jami,,,,,,,, the Challenge Police,,,,,, love it,,,,,,,,,

I have really enjoyed this challenge. I could keep going with this one forever. What a great way to make some really fast but nice looking cards. (and use up leftover scraps). I will have to try and incorporate this "challenge" more often into my stamping.
My first challenge card! I actually had enough stuff to do one of these challenges. (I don't have any SU paper or inks or very many stamps.) I like these challenges because they give me some guidelines to work within. Otherwise I tend to get overwhelmed with all my stuff. Not that that stops me from buying more...and more...and more...
Well Amy I intended to do this challenge (following the rules to the letter), but...I got in my stamp room and kind of lost track of what I was doing. Somebody slap me!!!!
Jami,
You totally need a badge and I have done just that for you! I am uploading my card in just minutes with a card that includes a slight cheat with your badge attached--I will post again when it is in pending status!
Kathy
I am sooooo glad someone started this challenge! This is the first time I have done a challenge and had a great time doing it! I ALWAYS forget about adding patterned paper to cards!!! I have a TON of it I don't use!!! Thanks again!!
I just finished reading all the post and making my comments and having a good laugh. I just informed someone about this site yesterday and told her all the cool info available and that some forums get a little crazy but you don't have to read them and it's a good thing they can't pull hair through air waves! What a perfect time to read your all your funnies!
Oh and Julia, I wasnt sure if I was allowed to use decorative scissors or not, so I took the chance and figured they couldnt hurt me to bad! Jen70 lives within driving distance but shes not hosting this week and she used a stamp anyway. Im telling!!!
My SIL gives me tons of decorative paper and I don't use it enough so Amy it's perfect timing for this challenge. Okay, here's my card!
I finished my card this morning, but I still don't have my digital so I will not be able to post this or the sketch challenge cards. Hopefully tomorrow. I really like this it helps me get my idea juices flowing. I am really happy with the card I did for this challenge. I can't wait to post it.
I got a late start this week on challenges so I combined a couple. Thses fit both Limited supply and Card Sketch for the week. Mom has been asking me to make her a supply of birhday cards, so I even met that challenge as well. The sentiment is a retired set, I'll have to update and get one of the wonderful words set soon. I use my scrapping paper a lot to make envelopes, each of these cards has a matching envelope as well. I added a little embellsihment to each and that made them both a little more exciting. Hope you enjoy-DebGallery at Splitcoaststampers
You guys are just making my weekend! I was a bit nervous about hosting, but this has been great! Now you all have me wanting to do more too... first, I have to make a 40th birthday card for one of my best friends from college - trick is - he's a guy! Wish me luck!
This is the first time I have done the limited supply challenge. Thanks for giving us the challenge with using scrapbook paper... this one was fun to do.

Who ever claims the title can put this in their signature!
Amy this is a good challenge and I forced myself to use this wild paper that came in a kid pack. Oh, and guess what, I used a stamp on the back! My Happy Face Card

I mentioned earlier that I received a RAK that fit the challenge perfectly, but I realized last night that I had not uploaded it. It's really cute - here it is:
This was my first challenge. I was pretty clueless but had fun doing it. The background is a japanese lace fabric from the craft store and is fun to work with.
