Question Undo Adhesive Remover?

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but what in the heck is the deal with Undo??? I can't find it in any store and my searches on the web mostly says it is no longer available. Anyone know the story on why it is no longer available???

Got any suggestions for taking pictures out of old photos albums when they are stuck on the page??? My sister and I are working on my mom's photo albums and some of the pics are stuck.

TIA

Our Walmart used to carry it in the craft dept. and on a hook in hardware.. I don't know if they still do or not since I have several bottles and the stuff lasts a long time.

I did a google search for un-du adhesive remover and got this up in the search:

http://www.become.com/shop?refdisa=g...ve+remover&qet

that might not click... just copy/paste what I searched on google for and you'll find the posting.. there are lots. they might've not have been coming up in your search because of the spelling of the product. Pam

Default Grip Solvent

I was looking for this at Wal-Mart the other day and now I'm glad I did not find it.
Just look at the difference in price here.... Cool Tool: Un-Du vs Grip Solvent. I could buy one quart, get some little bottles and share it with all my stamping buddies.

I saw this on another website:

On July 15, 2007 Bigtime Products LLC issued a notice to retailers that shipment of the entire line of un-du branded products has been discontinued. Although retailers in other states are free to sell their remaining stock, no un-du products should be sold or delivered in or to the state of California. un-du branded products as well as Quickie Adhesive Remover which were delivered to California customers since January 1, 2007 are subject to recall. Contact the store where purchased or Big Time Products LLC, 2 Wilbanks Rd., Rome, GA. 30161

Given that instead of lot numbers, they listed a date that it cannot be sold after, I would bet that California passed some sort of law that makes the ingredients in it illegal or (more likely) highly regulated, and the company doesn't want to have to deal with the extra paperwork.

Can't get it in Missouri either. Wal-Mart, HL and M's took it off their shelfs.

It depends on just HOW STUCK the photos are to the album, but dental floss works well most of the time. Just hold each end of the floss and CAREFULLY slide it under a corner and slide it under the length of the photo, working it gently. HTH

BTW, even if it were still available, Un-Do would not work on anything that has been glued down. Un-Do only worked on items that were self-adhesive... like stickers and such.

I use mono adhesive...and before I ran out of Un-Do.....that's all I used to take things apart. Works great. I have not had a problem with it.
