Hello all!! I'm your guest hostess this week and I am excited to bring you this week's TLC!
We've all hosted a party or a shower {or two or ten!!} and being that we are all of creative nature we put our all into invitations, favors, etc. This week let's focus on the centerpieces for these parties. You may remember making these little 'fortune tellers' as a kid. Who knew if you flipped them over they could make some real cute candy dishes!?! There are endless possibilities for baby showers, kid's parties and just general cuteness to have around the house!

DIRECTIONS
Martha shows these as sundae treat dishes that are lined. You do not need parchment/liner paper and you can start with any size square. I used 8.5"x8.5".
How very clever you are - your same is darling!!! Now to remember how to fold those little boogers!

I'm no Giant fan...I'm a Raider Lady...but the wound is still deep from 2001 with the Patriots (the infamous ''tuck'' call)! LOL! :p Enough yip yap...off to dream up!
awesome idea, jen! you are so flippin' talented! i am so excited to try one of these, but i can't without some rest first...so i will see you all later!
Thanks Jen for hosting this week. This was so fun! I can't believe that I remembered how to do this. I am having tech difficulties so will post later, but I really enjoyed this and can't wait to show it off.

OMGosg, I just made one of these in a smaller version with copy paper just as a template and showed it to dh as I relived my childhood. Now that I have stopped laughing I can tell you this brings back soooo many childhood memories. Thanks so much for this challenge. BTW, dh thinks I have lost my mind playing with paper again. He is leaving for work laughing at me telling me to get ready for work and quite playing. SPOILED SPORT!! LOL
What a fun challenge. What time do you all go to bed ?? I checked at 5am EST and there were already 2 samples finished !!! With matching colored candy in them. WOW....Jackie and Faith....you rock as my granddaughters would say....

Well, heres my *first* one! I'm not 100% in love with it, I think it's too big and gangly, kinda looks like an alien thing, lmbo! I made it with a 12x12, next time I'll try the 8.5! Anyways, it was still fun and I'll try again tomorrow! Thanks again Jen!

My DS just brought one home from school last week. We must have made a thousand of them . Boy did that bring back memories. I will try to complete one for this fun challange.
Great challenge since I recently saw this project sheet at Michaels AND I have enjoyed teaching these old standbys to my own DD...last year we were all over these "cootie catchers" and this year it's cat's cradle.
Oh my gosh, my project for today is to make a hostess gift for a friend -- she is so into baby right now and is planning a shower -- I'll make one for her hostess gift -- THANK YOU!!!
Jen, you rock! I looked at this challenge and said, no way! These were "cootie catchers" back in the day! What fun to make them into little candy dishes. I think I'll be using this idea for a gathering, soon!
