Yay! Another Friday means another Scrapbook Diva Designer Challenge!!
How’s everybody doing on those scrapping resolutions? Are you in need of more motivation to keep going? Well, you came to the right place!
Please put your hands together and join me in welcoming these creative (and adorable!) members from the Gina K. Designs Design Team:
Welcome, welcome, ladies, and thank you for diva-ing this week! It's such a pleasure to have Amy and Carolyn back for another challenge, and to have Gina and Erika join us as Diva Designers for the first time!!
To participate in the challenge, gain some encouragement from these awesomely talented divas - and be sure to type in SBDD10 for the Keyword when you upload (that’s a zero in there, not the letter O). Thanks to everyone for joining in the challenge! Don’t forget to post a link here to your creation so that we can all ooh and ahhhh ;)
For even more inspiration from the Gina K. Designs team, make sure you visit the Gina K. Designs Member Company forum right here on SCS!
You can find all submissions for this challenge here: SBDD10
The OPD (One Page Doc, aka: Master Challenge Thread) that includes all challenges on one page for your printing convenience can be found here: OPD
If you have any questions please feel free to contact any one of the SBCT (scrapbook challenge team)via pm or simply post your questions in this thread.
Hi everyone! I am so happy to be hosting another scrapbook challenge. Since I started stamping, my scrapbooks have sufferedso my New Years resolution is to make more scrapbook pages to preserve the memories of my children.
My challenge for you is to create a page with a stamped image on it somewhere. This does not include stamped words---although you are free to use those too! For my page, I used the Punchy Words set from Gina K to make a fun embellishment and the snow children from Got Snow? to create a fun scene in the corner of the page.
So, all you have to do is find an image you like and use it for a fun embellishment on your page!
I had SO much fun making my pages, and for my challenge I made up a sketch that can be used on ANY size page (I scrap 8x8 pages but this layout will work for any size!).
When uploading your pages please use the keyword SBDD10_AmyR
And did all y'all notice I also used stamps on my pages?? This isn't a contest but bonus points to those that can also incorporate stamping along with this layout on their pages!!
ADD YOUR CHALLENGE PROJECT AND YOU COULD WIN FREE STAMPS!
It's not a exactly a contest, (that would be too hard to pick,) but we are going to give away some stamps!
We will wait until 10:00 AM Central time on Monday morning,(1/21/08.) After that, we will add everyone's SCS name who tried one of our challenges into a hat, one entry for every challenge you do. If you do more than one page for a challenge, you'll get your name in for every page you do as well! Then, we will randomly pick two names. Each person will win a free stamp set!! (You can only win once but the more challenges and pages you do, the better your chances.)
Make sure you put the keyword of the challenge you are doing in the keyword part of your upload or we won't know you did it and you'll miss out on your chance!
Good luck and happy stamping and scrapbooking everyone!!
Hugs,
Gina K.

Gina you rock! I'm supposed to be working on swap cards, but now I have to scrap a little today! I'm up for the challenge! Thanks to all of you for the inspiration and motivation.
Just to make sure I am following rules, so far there are 3 challenges we have been given.
1)use stamped images on your page
2)GinaK's sketch
3)AmyR's sketch
We can do any of the three or do we combine Cammie's challenge with one of the sketches? Thanks for clarifying.

Have fun!
Carolyn, that page is SO WONDERFUL! The colors are fabulous! The texture is fantastic! Your coloring is superb...ok...I am running out of adjectives. You get the picture! Thanks for the wondeful challenge.

What a beautiful sample! Thanks for the great sketch...now the hard part will be which challenge to start first!
I'm a little behind here.....but I've got my page ready to show you and to challenge you!
I started out as a scrapbooker, long before stamping became an obsession for me. I've been scrapbooking in the "real" sense of the word since 1996. I've always played with pictures and paper since a young child. I found stamping in 2001 and realized that it would mesh very well with my scrapbooking and I took off from there.
I used GinaK's "Love you to Pieces" set (which benefits Autism) for this page. I love to incorporate stamping into many of my pages. They're great for titles, embellishments, journaling and so much more! The heart from the "Love you to Pieces" set tied in really well with the theme of this page. And those adorable little raindrop hearts (from GinaK) were perfect to go with this, as well. I used one on one of the big stamped hearts, as well as a LITTLE one to dress up the embellishment on one of the photos.
My challenge to you is to go through your stash and see what you haven't used in a while - and to use multiple supplies from different companies. That's exactly what I did with this page. I picked and pulled through my craft bins and used things that either needed using up or that hadn't been touched in a while. Some of the quote on my page is done with stickers, some with 3-D embellishments, some with ribbon and some stamping. I like to combine a variety of looks on my pages.
My pages are below......make sure that when you're uploading your challenge page to the gallery, that you use the Keyword SBDD10_SunshineMama. Gina will be giving out prizes....because she's just that AWESOME!

Welcome, Erika!!
That quote is so amazing how you put it all together. I've been staring at it for a few minutes - I love it! Thanks for the fun challenge
Here is my second and final challenge for the day.
For this challenge, the rules are to colorize your photograph to match your page and to include some stamping. I tinted my picture in a deep sage green to have it match the rest of this layout. If your software doesn't allow you to tint, you can print your photo in black and white and do a black and white layout. The sketch is a losse copy of my first sketch but there are no sketch requirements for this challenge. It's more of a color challenge.
Again, thank you all so much for letting us participate in the Designer Diva's challenge!! We'll stop back on Monday with the winner's names and we'll be gallery hopping all weekend to look at your fabulous projects!!
Hugs,
Gina K.

Thanks, Cammie! I just uploaded them to the gallery here at SCS, but I don't have a Fan Club membership anymore, so they're gonna take a little bit to get approved.

I very much appreciate your request for clarification! Although it's wonderful to have so many fab divas each week, I find it kind of mind-bobbling trying to sort out the different challenges when I am deciding what I want to incorporate into my pages. I usually have to go through and make a separate *cheat sheet* to summarize, so I can take a quick look when I'm ready.
Thanks for the question and--to those who responded!

I will be sure to go back and add one there too. Just wonderful (I am definitely gonna do a quote page like this!) Loveee it!

P.S. Gina also asked that we use 2 different designer papers as part of her challenge, yes???
ERIKA!!!! Omgosh, I am sitting in here with tears streaming down my face! The words on your page just hit me in my heart! You are so good at this!
I just read on your blog that you are having a scrapbooking retreat! Gosh, I wish I lived closer! It looks so cool.
It's called Go scrap yourself. LOL! It's an area of scrapbooking that I want to get into. I want to leave some pages about me for my kids. (They already know what they've done, but they don't know where I've been. LOL! sounds bad, huh?)
If any of you live anywhere within a days drive to Erika, you should go! Erika is a remarkable scrapbooker and stamper and just plain fun!
I hope you don't mind, Erika, But I'm posting the link so they can go see what you're doing. Just the samples you have are to die for! (No, I'm not affiliated, just jealous that I can't be there.)
Erika, Amy and Cammie, You have outdone yourselves with these layouts. Where do you guys get this stuff from? If I could just get into your brains for a day... just one day...
Great work. Thank you.

Yup
And she's also added a fifth challenge to tint your photo to match your page - could this week get any better?!
I'm loving all these new ideas
