ETA: 6/25/09 - As you can see by the date of this thread, Peggy created this tutorial a couple of years back. SCS has since made a tutorial with pictures, etc.
I have made mini tutorial (attached below) to show you how to add a link and name to your swap on your signature.
PLEASE NOTE: This site has been modified since Peggy wrote up this tutorial. Here is a link to where you need to go for Step 2 of the tutorial: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
this technique can also be used to link anything else you wanted to share: eg: swaps, blog, gallery, etc.
if you have any questions, please feel free to PM me

I have a question, have you already had swaps using SIZZIX die cuts and Stampin Up! materials only (for us demos)? I have always wanted to host an interesting swap like that to see what everyone could come up with!!!!

Almost all swaps, I said almost, are for SU product only. They are a business tool and many feel that cards to display should only use things we can sell.
I do know there are swaps like this in the general forum area. You can certainly host any kind of swap you would like to in either forum area. Keep it small 5+1 or so and it will be easier to fill. You can always offer more than one group.
I've tried using the tutorial, which I think is quiet clear. I'm experiencing trouble, however. When I'm in the edit your signature window, I don't have any of those little icons showing. Am I doing something wrong? I've been curious how everyone had all of those wonderful colors in thier signatures. After seeing the edit options available in your edit window, I can see how it's possible. How does a girl get lucky enough to get those options available to her?

Does anyone know.....when you post a swap - does the thread automatically list page information (2,3,4,LAST) which is seen in the title section of each thread; or does the hostess need to update/input that page information? I was thinking that maybe it automatically will update and list the information, possibly after a certain amount of posts/entries to the thread?
WOW: Thanks for the instructions! I've managed to do it
However, could anyone help me on a question? I followed the Signature Instructions to the end, so how do you make your Signature in a different colour than the original black/grey colour? I tried to press the colour I wanted baby blue but it hasn't worked :( What am I doing wrong?
Any suggestions out there would be gratefully received
INFACT: Don't worry about the signature in baby blue - it's not as visible as it is in black/grey! lol.
However, if anyone has the answer, I'd appreciate it, as I might do a signature another time, in a different colour than baby blue!
Color is set in same area. Highlight what you want to change the color of. Select the large A with the black line under it and you can choose any color.
What did you do??? I am having the same problem and can't figure out what I am doing wrong. Thanks!
The little icons should show above the box you type your text into.
I type in my wording - highlight it by dragging across it with the mouse - click on the globe looking thingy, the hyperlink symbol - then type or paste the website address into the box that pops up save and it's in your siggy line
Thank you so much Kim. I am printing out siggy info and after I e-mailed you I kept looking and finally found my info. I'm just a little slow (almost 70) and losing my touch. Thanks again

Thanks for your response Kim. I just see a box - no icons above it. I know WHERE they should be but there is nothing there. No globe, no choice or size of font or color. Just a barren wasteland....
Any ideas? Was I supposed to set preferences or something?
Thanks for any and all help and commiseration. :o)

Help.... I cannot get this to work. It looks correct and like it is pasted in but when I go to leave a comment it is not there. When I preview it it is in my signature line. What am I doing wrong? The http is there and so is all the info in the edit signature box.
