Hello everyone! I'm posting early because 1) I'm very excited to be hosting a challenge for the first time!, 2) I want to make sure it gets posted correctly, and 3) I have a house full of guests arriving any minute for our Canadian Thanksgiving, so I don't want to forget!
(P.S. I don't know how to re-name my links below, so I hope this works!!)
The sketch for this week is by Brenda Arnall, from Creating Keepsakes magazine, August, 2007:
BONUS CHALLENGE!! I want to see LOTS of stamping on your pages! That means NO patterned paper.... get out your stamps and create your own patterned paper for this layout (see my sample page).
Enjoy!! And for my fellow Canadian scrappers... Happy Thanksgiving!!

I can't beleive that I actually got this challenge done on the same day it was posted! I amazingly had some free time (when all the daycare kids were actually all napping at the same time), so I checked to see the new sketch and then I just whipped up a quick layout right then too! I'm trying really hard to get tons of photos scrapped from the past two months (after Macy was born), so I'm doing lots of quick layouts this weekend!
Anyway, here's my layout for this sketch:
Betsy, I love your page! It's an easy layout to do, which is why I chose it.... my big goal the past few weeks has been to find quick layouts so I can just get some pages pumped out I've been spending too much time on my pages lately... time I don't have either, having a young baby as well. Thanks for taking my challenge!!

Today's challenge turned out to be a great walk down memory lane for me. I ended up using some of my oldest son's extra pictures. Happy Birthday to him !!! He turns 20 really soon. (Ughhh... I'm feeling old? ;) ) Anyway, as you can imagine, these pages took awhile and sorry I can't resist my Simply Scrappin' DP. Today, was great fun, Now off to do a workshop for "World Card Making Day"and to Help "Stamp Out Breast Cancer".
A survivor's got to do what a surivors got to do! (That is too go on!!!!):-D
Wow, I'm seeing some awesome pages already... this is great!! I'm glad some of you are liking this week's sketch! Everyone's layouts are completely different and creative, I love that!! Thanks for getting right on the ball this week... looking forward to seeing more pages!

I know this will sound crazy, but this is my first sketch challenge to participate in! I look at it every week and always have good intentions of trying it, but between working, two small boys and life it just never happens! I finally decided (when I saw the great sketch!) that I was going to participate no matter what. Here is my take:
Love the layout - this was perfect for the pictures I took in January of my dog during a snowstorm. This is the first time I was actually able to complete a sketch challenge the week it was posted!
