Default Scrapbook Sketch #9

Here's the sketch for this week. The sketch is done 12x12. However, the example I did and layout I made the sketch from were both 8 1/2 x 11. I didn't get a chance to do a 12x12 example yet-- I'll try to get to it soon. But most of my scrapbooks that I am currently working on are still 8 1/2 x 11. I'm planning on switching over now. Any new books I start will be 12x12.

Anyway, here's the sketch. I was inspired by a layout in this article by Sara Horton that I read on Scrapjazz.com Here's the link:

http://www.scrapjazz.com/topics/Scra...Design/395.php

Notice that the 2x2 line down the center of the layout is done with slide mounts-- great idea. If you have slide mounts, they are a lot of fun. If not, then just cut your photos 2x2 or put stamped accents there-- Or both!

Here's the link to the sketch:

And here's my version. I didn't use the little line of slide mounts cause the pics from this group didn't lend themselves to that much cropping. I think it shows how you can make the sketch fit your needs, whatever they are.

They are both still pending approval as of Friday night.

Here is my first attempt at the scrapbook sketch. I was happy to have something to use my slide mounts that I won for VSN!!!

This is a great sketch! Thanks for helping us with 12x12 versions.

School is done in 2 weeks here. Then I'm scrapping until I catch up. Two years behind instead of one because we moved last summer. Can't wait to use this sketch.

I finally had a chance to do some scrapbooking. I had to design a layout for a class, and am pretty insecure when it comes to 12x12... so I used this design as my guide. Here is the spread I did for this layout.. thanks so much!

Caroline

Edited to add... ooops, I posted the pictures in reverse order. The second page should actually be first!

Nice work. I'm glad to see you enjoying the sketches! I love ocean pics. Heck, I love the ocean. If I ever move away from Idaho, I want to live at the ocean.
