SBSC99 JULY 13, 2007
Friday the 13th!!! Has it been good or bad for you? For me? FABULOUS! I worked on my scrampin room all day long...only took a break for lunch. My GF (chdds, aka: LuLu) came over at 7:30 am and we began searching for the floor of my Scrampin Room. We have made amazing progress today. By the time I realized that I had not yet posted today's SBSC it was time to wash my hair and jet out the door to go get my Curtie Bug at my Mom's...He has been there for VBS and tonight was commencement. So, that's my story ladies...an organized SCRAMP ROOM (almost done, still more to sort through) and my son's finally back home!
Here's this week's sketch (thanks to my girl Sherri who IM'd to check on me...sorry, I missed ya chickie but a super Huge TY! for helping a sistah out).
NEXT WEEK will be our 100th Scrapbook Challenge!!!! WE are so EXCITED about this moment in SCS Challenge history...BE on the L@@KOUT for a HUGE SURPRISE!!!
----a super talented someone that we all love has created a challenge just to celebrate our 100th CHALLENGE!....

Ok, chica, did you purposely pick a sketch with THIRTEEN PHOTOS (for Friday, the 13th), or is that sheer coincidence????? I'm quite impressed either way, chicadee!

Wow! This is a great sketch! I'll have to point my mom too it, she's always trying to get tons of pics on one page. Hopefully I can figure out something to do with it too...Hmmm....
I love the idea of the 6x12 picture, but I don't have photo paper that big and have never seen any bigger than 8.5x11 - does anybody have ideas for that?
Have any of you tried printing on 12x12 SU whisper white paper (it may be similar to matte photo paper)?
How can you print on the 12x12? I thought about printing on an 8.5x11 and cropping to 6x11 with a mat. Also I noticed that someone just used 3 different pictures for the 12 inch part. Thanks for getting me thinking - I had an earlier inspiration and now I am off to work on it. :-)

I've never printed a photo on SU's white cardstock. I am sure it would look much different than matte photo paper, tho!
For the 6 x 12 photo, I've printed one out this size at Sam's Club. I don't remember if it was one of the regular options for enlargements or how I ended up finding it, but I know I did print out that size there! I was at Walmart yesterday getting prints and they have the same digital photo processing system as Sams Club (at least our Walmart and Sam's club do!). Anyway, I couldn't find the 6 x 12 option and I was kinda in a hurry, so I just had an 8 x 10 printed of the one I wanted to use for this week's scrapbook sketch. I will just put a strip of patterned paper under the photo on my layout! No big deal!
I have used sketches before that have the 6 x 12 photo, and I've just used three 4 x 6 photos instead. Sketches are just guidelines to get your creative juices flowing! If you don't have the exact dimensions of photos as what the sketch calls for, just use what you have!

Thanks for the suggestion! I was partly asking for this sketch, but also partly asking because I've actually thought of making pages that have one whole side as a picture, but never come up with a way to print off a 12xwhatever because of the lack of paper! I did try once to print on a regular piece of non SU white cardstock and it didn't work well, but SU's is a bit glossier. Can't wait to see your creation as I always love your work!

Good question! I would have to cut the 12x12 to a 12x6 piece so that it'll fit in my printer (which is only about 9 inches wide), and then print it off like that.
I didn't use a 6x12 - hope you all don't mind. This double page layout was just what I needed for the large amount of photos I took during my retreat.
I uploaded as left and right pages. TFL! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Nope didn't even have time to plan such a fab coicidence...but hey I can still attempt credit right? LOL
It's all cause of my girl Sheri!
GO SHERI! Thankfully she had my back!

I've had this sketch marked as a possiblity for a while now, glad you pushed me to get it done. Loved all the pictures and yet it doesn't look cluttered.
