Happy Friday! Jen70 needed the day off and she asked me to be the guest hostess for this week's challenge. I hope I live up to the standard she's set.
It's the middle of summer here in the US, temps are soaring and all you just want to do is be lazy and relax. The world is bright, sunny and filled with flowers and other things to inspire you.
Your challenge is to create a card celebrating what you love the best of summer - or what you're looking forward to in summer: ice cold treats, the flowers, fireworks, WHATEVER - just make it work for summer!
Keyword: LSC128 Stamps: any... make it work with the summer theme Paper and Ink: Bold Brights, Soft Subtles, In Colors, DP - MUST BE SUMMER-Y! Tools: Any punches, mat pack/paper piercing, sponging... but NO CUTTLEBUG! Embellies: brads, primas, eyelets, ribbon
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!

OMG!! NO CUTTLEBUG??!! How is anyone gonna survive??? LOL I'll have no problem as I don't own one! ;) Great challenge. Hope to get to it. Have the perfect set to break in for it too!! Thanks for stepping in for Jen70! (I get to met her on Saturday!!!)
Very cute samples Sara! Thanks for your help. I'm going to throw some clothes in the wash so I can pack... then I'll make a challenge card... Gotta play with my new Boatloads of Love set (that just arrived this evening) before I leave for Ohio. ;)

Not a problem Jen, though I think I had too much time to think about this challenge. I tried to make a sample card about 2 weeks ago and it didn't turn out AT ALL. :( Thanks for choosing me to guest hostess.
Going to bed to think about this one. Thanks Sara for the great challenge......no cuttle bug here either. Might have to break down and buy one soon.hehe
There's lots of summer here in so cal, Sara. Thanks for the fun challenge!

Thanks! I'm going for just the weekend... I'm going to meet bambi64, Barbra1224, Dawn L, and BadSherry at Stampaway in Cincinatti. I'm from Michigan, so it's not just a day trip for me. Have to remember my purple ribbon so I can be indentified ;) and my camera of coarse, and stuff for my MIL (I'm staying at her house), and bandaging for my mole removal boo-boos, my snacks and water, pick up my medication at the pharmacy... maybe I should make a list.... or refer to this one before I leave tomorrow. :p
OK... still haven't put the wash in :p But Boatloads is trimmed and mounted.

First off Thank you Sara for filling in. What a fun challenge. I couldn't sleep and thought I'd take advantage of the quiet time. Now I'm getting sleepy so goodnight all. tfl
Hey, congrats on hostessing today, Sara! Great challenge! One thing I've always liked about summer what not having to get my kids off to school, not having to rouse them in the mornings, and all the related paperwork and stuff always associated with school stuff. My oldest is at a point though where athletics make is seem like school is now year-round, so I don't get that much anymore. Plus I can't come up with any idea of how to get that on a card! I'll think about it today, and maybe (finally!) complete my first challenge in weeks when I get home today!
