I'm currently reading Franz Kafka's Metamorphosis and Other Stories. Metamorphosis has a great opening line: "One morning, as Gregor Samsa was waking up from anxious dreams, he discovered that in bed he had been changed into a monstrous verminous bug." Yeah, that's a problem.
I'm enjoying Kafka's irreverent attitude.
