i'm about 20 min from the 'crotch' of the thumb which is door county on WI....
ok, i just read what i wrote and am thinking i need some sleep... lol... ok, if you hold out your left hand palm down (like you are admiring a ring) w/your thumb slightly open... the little crook of the thumb to hand is the 'crotch' if you will like on a tree... which is where Green Bay is... and i am 18 miles out of GB to the west....
so you are closer to Chicago???
