LSC105
LSC105
Hi everyone. I am your guest hostess this week, since Jen has another obligation on Friday and needs to make an early start.
I just love flowers! I have lots of flower stamps – at least 75% of my stamps are floral or have flowers or plants as part of the set. You just can’t have enough flowers.
So to make this a challenge, I am asking that you don’t use any flowers, leaves, or other plants or plant parts, such as branches, fruit, grass, etc. Watch your backgrounds and decorative papers – flowers and leaves are everywhere.
You may use any colors of card stock & ink and any embellishments other than flowers, leaves, etc. as listed above.
This is not a contest or a race. There is no time limit. This is just an opportunity to step outside your comfort zone, stamp and have fun. I look forward to seeing all of your creations.
Please be sure to put LSC105 in your key words, so that we can find your cards as part of this challenge.
My samples:
pink butterfly
unfrogettable
Gallery submissions
If you have questions about this challenge, post them here. If you need help uploading a card or attaching a link here, please check out this link.
Thanks for playing.

Thanks for filling in this week. I think I'm the same way. Those flowers just always sneak in. I'll try to find time tomorrow to play. Good night for now.

Great challenge Melody....not easy...If I give in, it may be an alphabet soup birthday card with....uh oh....weathered background implies wood....I guess print pattern then. Very difficult for me!

Oooh - I have lots of non-flora/fauna stamps, but don't use them as often...
Wanna hear something funny? When I was looking at your (lovely) pink butterfly card, the "Lunestra" commercial came on - you know - the one with the glowing butterfly?! Never mind, I'm getting drowsy...

Thanks for stepping in, Melody. Jen always has her hands full, and it was good of you to give her a little break. I promise to make one specifically for this challenge, but these two Easter cards I made last night -- and really didn't intend to upload them -- actually fit this challenge.

Thanks Melody for filling in.......Gonna have to wait until after work, though. I'll try my best on this challenge, but ya know, being the sunflower lady means those sunflowers and other flowers just jump off the shelf onto my work table to be used every time I sit down at my table! I'll do my best! LOL

This is a great challenge. Unfortunately, I don't have time to play. I'm preparing for a Stampin' Basics class I'm giving tomorrow. I did find this card in my gallery I made over a year ago that has no floral, etc. on it. Very tough for me!

Last night I stayed up late making a birthday card for my friend's grandson (he's one year old today) and so it was very late by the time I posted it in the gallery. When I checked the challenge for today, I realized that my card fits the bill. It 's hilarious because I hardly ever make a card without some kind of flower or leaf accent and I probably would have had a hard time coming up with a design if I'd tried specifically for the challenge.
I just started doing the challenges last week and I'm totally hooked!
Thanks so much to all the dedicated and creative people who make this possible. I LOVE SCS
Here's the link to my card Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
