p.s. note that the slight waviness seen in the central piece right side and card right side is my scanner adding its own special artistic flair.

I love these color challenges. I sometimes find myself color challenged and these just show so many ideas with color combinations that I would have probably never thought of. I'm fairly new at the whole stamping thing and am slowly adding cardstock to my stampin collection (who am I kidding -- I'm adding it very quickly!! ). Some day soon I hope to take the challenge. As always, thanks for sharing!!
Had to make a quick card in response to this week's challenges before I leave for a week on business (stamping withdrawal?)- not my favorite card - oh well - couldn't work out how to also 'thump' !!
My first time attempting the color challenge- I combined it with the new sketch challenge (SC14). My scanner did funky things to the rose red color, so keep in mind that it doesn't actually glow in the dark! hee hee  Also, I added crystal effects to different areas on the hats to give it a little something extra, but that didn't show up in the scan...
Okay - here is my first try at the color challenge. I loved the color combo, and hope to try another card. I had to lighten it up some on the download so the wording on metal tags could be seen at all. (still pending approval)
Kimberly - Thanks for doing the challenge! And I have to tell you, I have laughed all week at that picture you posted with you laying with your stamps and pads!! (Sometimes I feel the exact same way). My husband walked in when I was looking at it and he totally cracked up - how funny!!!!
This was just uploaded a few minutes ago so it may take a while to be approved. Sorry, but I need to get something accomplished today and get off this computer.
Okay, here's my Stupid Question For the Day: How do I find out about new technique and color challenges -- just keep checking the home page? Are they posted weekly, or is there anyway to get an email message?
I apologize if this is a stupid question -- I'm really interested in these and want to start participating. BTW, love this color combo -- I never would have put these together! My tiny mind is starting to think about this. . .
Karen, the challenges can be hard to find. To find them if they are not on home page, go to the Forums page and do a Search for them...type in Color Combo Challenge and select "all terms" under the box.
Here is the day of the week that each one is posted.
Monday - Technique Lovers Challenge
Tuesday - Color Combo
Wednesday - Sketch
Thursday - Ways to Use It Challenge, and Organization Challenge
Friday - Limited Supply
Saturday - Scrapbook Challenge
It's been a busy week and I finally got some time to play. Here's two cards that fit this challenge. They both also fit the WT02 (using glitter) challenge and one also fits the sketch challenge for this week. Whew!
I really hope there is some green in it. I am having a green withdrawal. We just had a pile of snow on Saturday night and I could really use some green in my life!
Here is my card, I combined the color challenge with the technique challenge this time, and I think it turned out pretty good. I really love these colors together, thanks for another great challenge, they really keep me interested in "creating new masterpieces"
It took me a year and a half, but I finally got one done
Just kidding - I was looking for some inspiration and decided to look at the old color combo challenges...I don't think I played in this one the first time around. Love the combo, though!
Here's my color combo challenge #3. It's also my sketch challenge #5. Hope you like it. I love the simplicity of it...maybe I'll send it to my cousin and his wife...
