Wow! I can't believe I'm first. I just happened to be working my way through the threads. I just learned how to do Fossil Stone not too long ago. Thanks, Beth, for posting so early!
Here's one from my gallery -- Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I'll see if I can come up with another one. I haven't had a whole lot of luck with this technique.

Oh, I just tried a quick little sample. It is so easy and fun... I can't wait until I have time to turn my sample into a card.
finally got to make a card out of my sample... not one of my favorite cards, but it will do....

Can't sleep so I made a card for this challenge. --Great challenge Beth, nice and easy, i like that. Great tutorial Julie--
I use teal and turquoise for the stone part and then I stamped over that with snowflakes in teal and turquoise. I like the effect the snowflakes have on the fossilstone. --I wanted to put an eyelet in the tag, but don't want to wake up my Hubby. Hope he doesn't realize I'm gone, he'll think I'm crazy, makin' cards in the middle of the night.
Thanks for looking. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

I agree, Dawn! This technique doesn't seem to work well for me. Out of about four tries, I had ONE that was worth working with. Lots of trashed cardstock at my house!

Just did this technique Friday for my stamping group. We did this a bit differently. See if this helps others.
We used small drops of reinkers on plastic and spritzed it with water. We used three colors that were in our main image or card. Then put plastic together and rubbed hands over it to mix or the brayer to bring colors together. Then put the shiny cs in. With clear plastic you can see what your colors look like. If you don't like their look you can rinse and start again.
Here are a few samples I did like this.

I'm home sick today so I might get to play later. Thanks Beth.

I think I can do this! Bensarmom - what color reinkers did you use? I always need all the help I can get in figuring out what looks good together. Great examples so far, and thanks Beth for the challenges.

Dorothy I used celery, bashful blue and small drops of ruby red. Good luck, can't wait to see what you come up with.

I can't open the tutorial. I know you need to smoosh 2 colors of ink on two sides of the window sheet/folder. Do you put them together and brayer to mix colors, then add the glossy cardstock? HELP! I wanna play!!!

You use two similar colors of ink one on each side of the folder you're using. Then brayer, open and add glossy cs, glossy side out.
Have fun!
