What's your favorite flower set from the current catalog? My favorite flower set, Fanciful Flowers, has retired. I need to find a new set to replace it. I know there are some great sets out there, but nothing jumps out at me. I know I just need to look at the flower sets in a new light. I've been waiting to order from the new catalog until I could decide on a new flower set. I never dreamed it would take me this long.
Please share your favorites with me and perhaps what you like about it.
I could have written this post myself! I've LOVED Fanciful Flowers ever since it came out (it was actually the first Stampin' Up! set I bought myself!). Now I'm heartbroken. I'm curious as to what others will say.
I think Roses in Winter is going to be my new flower set though.
I LOVE All the Best and In Full Bloom. All the best is quick and easy especially for some customers. It also has text and images. In Full Bloom is a great way to highlight watercoloring and the new aqua painter. Also, In Full Bloom reminds me of a Walt Disney movie like Fantasia. Very cool!
When I first looked at the catty, I didn't see a flower set that thrilled me either. After spending time in the SCS gallery, though, I am totally amazed by the cards being made with the In Full Bloom set. It will be in my next order. I think that set paired with the aquabrushes will quickly become a personal favorite!
Same here, except my favorite is Petal Prints, not retired but a summer mini one... :(
So I was debating what one to order too, until I saw all the posts in the gallery with full bloom. I didn't like it at first, but do now...its on my 'wish' list....
I also wasn't all that crazy about in full bloom, I don't have it yet, but its my favorite!!
Ordering my demo kit this weekend, and it will be part of it, the cards in the gallery are just beautiful.
I was shocked when Fanciful Flowers made the retirement list. However, I have been selling Terrific Tulips and Roses in Winter like hotcakes this year. Both are so gorgeous and you can do so much with them. I especially like Roses in Winter because it's a DD set, can be a 2 step set, works on walls, cards, bags, summer and winter! Doesn't get much more versatile than that!
I like the Watercolor Gardens. I'm not impressed with anything so far, but I need to see samples and then maybe I'll like them better. I also use my DD Daisy set a lot. It's a versitile set.
I love In Full Bloom. It's not quite as versatile as Petal Prints (which I'm sure will be in the next catalog!), but nice to work with. I also love Watercolor Garden II. You just can't make a bad card with that set!

I really like love without end. It's more of a cartoony type flower, but I've been using it a lot. Every different color combo makes a totally new card! Then, you also have the little butterfly for variety.
Terrific tulips would be my other one. I've made many different cards for many different occassions, birthday, anniversary, get well soon etc..
Location: My very hot stamp room, in Phoenix! It's a dry heat.

I have both In Full Bloom and All The Best and love both of them. You can't go wrong with either one. I LOVE Petal Prints, but since it isn't in the new catty, I will wait until next year when it just HAS to be in!
I have petal prints and LOVE it. I keep seeing these "In Full Bloom" cards that I'm falling in love with......so I'm guessing I'll be ordering that one shortly too. It's so hard to decide! Why, oh why can't we have them all?!

Liriel~ You might want to order Petal Prints first, since it will only be available for a little while longer. I know, though, they are both AWESOME sets - the decision is an agonizing one - hee!
I love ALLLLLL the flower sets, that it's so hard for me to narrow it down to just one. Hmmmm, I think I'm going to go with Petal Prints, but I also love In Full Bloom, Love without End, Watercolor Garden(s)/Minis, Fresh Flowers, Roses in Winter, All The Best...........
Say....... did I mention that I love ALL the flower sets??? LOL
Happy Stampin Day!

I feel your pain woman! I am having the same problem...my budget only allows for me to purchase one floral set right now, so I am going to do petal prints. I think it would make some great flowers for fall. Plus there were so many beautiful samples posted, I believe that I could do a lot with it.
I am considering All the Best and In Full Bloom for future purchases. Both look very versatile.
Good Luck, and let us know what you decide to to.
I love terrific tulips and watercolor garden II. They are both so elegant. I do have fanciful flowers and used it tons. What about DD Daisy? It has some similarities to fanciful flowers.
I bought Fanciful Flowers years ago and then Fresh Flowers. I ended up selling Fanciful Flowers cause I used Fresh Flowers so much more. To me it gives the same "feeling" as Fanciful does.
I just ordered Peal Prints. There are so many ways that it can be used. But my next flower set on the list is In Full Bloom or any one of the Watercolor Garden sets. I have to have all of these because they are sooooooo beautiful. I don't know why I have to have them since I spend more time here reading and looking at all the lovely cards. I haven't stamped in several days and then I only made one card. Now that is bad. Gotta get away from here.
I love Spring Garden...and especially the sentiment in the set. I liked the set when it was in the mini catalog last Spring, but I didn't "need" it until I saw all of the gorgous samples.
Terriffic Tulips makes beautiful and quick cards, too.
I really like the buds and blossoms set. The new jumbo wheel is nifty! I have seen some real cute cards done with this set. I love the coordinating papers and vellums also. It al works great together. I also like perfect petals, and simple florals. Good luck finding that special set.
My favorites are Botanicals, Roses in Winter and In Full Bloom.

I have about 5 flower sets and if you go to the gallery and do a search for the Fresh Flowers set you will see how great this set it. It is used a whole lot. I really really like it.
I am having this same problem myself. I am going to go with Petal Prints, I just like the two step stamp sets better and I have enough inspiration in this website to last me a whole year until the new catalog comes out! I like Terrific Tulips a lot, it is super easy to make great cards with, but I can always order it later. My complaint about the Daisy set is that it is very hard to line up, I am not a perfectionist and I have lots of trouble with it when my demo uses it. Fresh Flowers is wonderful, I love it! Good luck deciding and let us know what you decide!

I'm trying to put together my Starter Kit! I agonized over Fresh Flowers. I'm more of a "botanicals" type person, and I DON'T like cutesy, but I think Fresh Flowers is really versatile, and I think my (soon-to-be) customers will like it!
I just got Petal Prints from my demo, and I LOVE IT. Wasn't too crazy about it, it wasn't on my radar screen, until I saw the gallery here -- WOW. Awesome work. I hope I can do this set justice.
In Full Bloom is either in my next order, or I'll find a way to get it instead of one of the others in my Starter Kit!
