what do you like to read on a stamp blog? I just started one, cause mamakimberly made me. She made me a supercool banner from her store stuff. But I have no idea what people would want to read in a stamping blog. So, what kinds of things would you like to see in one?
I like to read what you've been doing (since you've been so *absent* from the stamping forums the last several months!), see what cards or projects you've been making, hear your reviews of products, . . .
Just post like you used to post here! :-) Please. :-)
I have about 80 blogs in my favorites. I keep only the ones that update at least weekly. I have dial up and many of the blogs take forever to load. So if they are not updated I get frustrated. I LOVE to see card samples that include technique instructions. I love tips. I love seeing stamp rooms and explanations of the way they are organized. I love seeing product reviews and comparisions and I LOVE gossip about upcoming products and trends that some of those who work for the companies will reveal.

what? me? absent???? I've been stamping a ton, just not posting as much. Good tips, I am totally writing this stuff down!
hey, you need a subscribe button on your blog. I think feedblitz or feedburner? I'm not a blogger, just an avid reader
Loads of pictures! I love to see cards and projects. instructions or a link if you've done a particular technique. product highlights. write about what inspires you creatively, or what you do if you get into a slump, etc.

okie dokie! my blogmaster (mamakimberly) will add feedblitz sometime today. ;)
I have a lot of blogs in my favorites that I check regularly (just added yours!) I like to see cards and techniques. I like the personal stuff too! I feel like I really get to know the person behind the art!
I love your new blog and I know I will visit it often. I just have a quick question. There is a blog called "Go _ug yourself" that is under the blogs you visit frequently. Is that supposed to be there. I opened it up and couldn't believe the profanity that was in it. Just thought I'd let you know. Sometimes things get on there that we don't expect.
Great blog - added it to my favorites! I really like your Wild About You card. Do you think you could add a watermark or something to identify you as the designer to the picture of it? Sometimes I copy cards I really like to a "Favorites" file I keep and I like to know who created to give proper credit it this is the case (so to speak). If it isn't on there, I will usually try to type it into the file myself, but it's so much easier if it's already there. Plus hopefully it will keep people from "stealing" your ideas and claiming them as their own.

you know, I was thinkign about that. I'll ask my blogmaster cause I know nothing about any of that.
I love it when stamping blogs are updated on a daily basis with a new card or other creative project.
I wish I could do that, but, I tried. It was just too much; I was neglecting my professional work and it was also taking a serious toll on my family time, which they gently tried to point out to me . . . :( They were right.
After I saw some industry professionals such as Rhonna Farrer and Cathy Zielske completely cease blogging due to the above, I realized that I was putting a tremendous amount of pressure and stress on myself.
I now try to update it about 3x weekly, and hope that readers will understand.

I think that is a great way to go about it. You can't neglect the rest of your life just to have an interesting blog. I think yours is great Julie, and I am sure your blog readers are appreciative of anything you put on there!

I just checked your blog again and the link is gone. I wonder if they just add them randomly. I'm going to check mine out, too. I don't want anything on there I know nothing about.

Julie--I, for one, understand! I check your blog daily and if there is something new - YIPPEE!!! While daily updates are great, it's so hard to expect that. Yours is one of about five I check daily.
If a blog routinely goes 5-7 days without updating I'll typically stop checking it.
To all you who keep these great blogs - THANK YOU!!!! (must learn to do cute smilies!)

I think that is a great balance...now I know I would love to see more of your stuff, but we all have lives outside of the rubbah and paper world...or do we;)

Thank you, Mindy!
Balance. That elusive thing we women are always on the quest for. I've yet to find it, but, I'm tryin'! ;)

ok, the feedblitz email notification is there! now the blogmaster is gonna make me a watermark. Good think I am related to her or she might find me bothersome!

How fun! I know they are said to run forever. My mom has her mom's!
Oh Em, I'm so excited you've started a blog!! I'll add it to my faves for sure!
I love to see new techniques and daily posts...but that's mostly an added bonus. As long as the blogger updates a couple times a week (I *know* you have lives outside of the blog) that's great. And I love, love to see pics of your current projects! Really any fun stuff going on in your life is good to read.
Oh yeah, and the occasional giveaway is nice, too, but totally not necessary!
Many thanks to all you bloggers!! You give me such inspiration!

Whats _ug?? You will get random things on your free blogs.
Welcome to the blogging world Emily!!! Great job - love the header! You're lucky you have your own computer guru! Looking forward to checking out your future posts! Have fun!

It had a letter that made it sound like a bad word. I'm sure you can figure it out. It is gone now so I don't think it was meant to be there. I clicked on it and it was just a lot of trash.
I find having a blog a lot of fun and a bit therapeutic. I know folks want to see it updated daily with tons of cool stuff and techniques, but I know who I am, and I'm not a professional stamper!
Some folks hate the personal stuff, others love it. I think the most important thing is to have the blog reflect YOU. So far, it is gorgeous!!

I like to see a card or paper project and then a little bit about it and then some personal stuff thrown in too! Not only should you blog (because it's so much fun) but you should submit your stuff for publishing - I couldn't believe when I read that you don't submit anything. Your work is just stunning... and on a hijack question is MamaK only doing digital stuff now and can I have her stamps??? haha;)
