OK, this is too strange...Last night DS and I ate out and asked for a take home box. They brought it out, I filled it, closed it and noticed the lid. I told DS this would make a great inspiration challenge. The restaurant was Cactus Grill. How funny! Now I have to make the card!
Thanks for the fabulous challenge! I look forward to peeking Friday nights! I went with the geometric shapes, but since I didn't have stamps that worked for this, I cut out shapes of paper. The silver cord was for the lines down the middle. I love how a simple idea can morph to a card. I scanned it without the sentiment, and then I decided that it needed something. Thanks for looking! TGIF :p collage
Oh my Karen, this will truly be a challenge for me! Will have to play later today. Thanks for the challenge.

Whoa, I was expecting an oriental theme. Don't know why I automatically thought Chinese take out box. Jeesh, I must still be tired from stamping with badmom at a 10/10 until 12:30. Will think of this while getting my hair cut this morning. Thanks for the challenge Karen !
it inspired an underwater scene.... I am thrilled with this card, it took on a life of its own and that is what this challenge is all about! Thanks for the inspiration.
White on white just doesn't show up - I'll have to outline it or something and edit the picture - however, company is on the way and I still have stuff to do - I tried, but . . .
When I saw this container, I knew right away what I wanted to do. The white on white really appealed to me, in a very challenging way. The box also has a little bit of a shimmer to it, so my thought was to emboss a piece of white paper with iridescent ice embossing powder and then use that for my shapes. I embossed the paper first, and then used my circle and square punches to punch out the shapes. I dry embossed the lines down the middle. I knew that the card needed a sentiment and at least one color, so I went with red, and kept it simple.
Thank you Karen, for using the image that I suggested. I am honored and it was just so exciting to see it. This site is awesome, and all of the people here are so wonderful. I love *playing* with you girls. Your cards are also so beautiful, and they insipire me to work harder on my own. Thank you.
I actually had time to create before going to work. Originally I thought to do a New Years card but I don't have a Happy New Year stamp. Thanks for looking. Happy Hearts
Great job so far everyone!! Thanks Karen! I need to do yesterday's challenge first, but I'm already thinking about this one too!!!! Now, to get my morning schedule done so I can stamp!!!
I always need little boxes for one thing or another. So I was inspired by the box to make another box. Then a card to go with it for a LITTLE GIFT for someone. I will fill it with some Christmas candies.

This one was definately a challenge. Played around with Crosshatch and Simply Circles for way to long before the two of them beat me up and told me to go play with my designer papers. Finally came up with something I like. Here it is: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
This was a real stretch after working with all the Fall colors yesterday. I got a little lazy and let the stamp do most of the work--it was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the box and think I have only used it once before. Geo Hearts

Although I look at the challenges everyday, I have never participated until today! Thank you for the inspiration! I will never look at take out containers the same again.

Wow, love this!! As soon as I saw it, I thought of this card I had made before I had many stamps. I actually used my son's wooden blocks to make the shapes and hand cut the shapes as I also didn't have any punches at the time. I love geometric shapes and at the time, I just couldn't wait to make this card. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I am going to try to make another card today.... stay tuned ;)
Ohhh boy, I can't wait to see what everyone has made from that retro looking container cover. Thanks Karen, this was such a cool design. Here is my first attempt at it:
Here's my combo for today and yesterday's challenge. I like the overall idea, just not quite there yet (have some idea's how to change it more to my liking!!)
Sorry, still pending, but DH is yelling for me to go!!! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
