For those of us that use PSP, there are loads of tutorials
HERE
HERE
and
HERE
I have learned so much from these sites! I bought PSPX and all I could do with it was crop and remove red eye. I'm stilll learning, but I can do some fairly simple things now.

This person has cool tutorial (cool site too)... there's one for a tape:
Dubtastic
If you have the tutorial and you're a Photoshop user, check out these brushes:
Miss M
To install, etc.:
Brush how to
I love fonts and there are tons of free ones:
dafont.com
Free stock photo:
Stock Exchange
Why use a stock photo? Instead of a fake looking flower, find a stock photo of a flower and cut that photo out (best if the background is white) and paste that photo into your layout. I'll have a sample in my gallery... tomorrow.

Feeling very overwhelmed here! I downloaded photoshop elements trial version 3 days ago. Right now I am just making slideshows but I'd like to include some of my scrapbooking pages to my slideshows and having an awful time trying to find help on how to do this. I guess I could just take a photo of them to include them but sometimes the photo gets blurry.
I have tried to search on line (google) for the digital scrapbooking tutorials as mentioned in your first thread but it is just too overwhelming to go through each and every thread. I just don't have the time with the triplets
Is there a tried and true best website you prefer for photoshop elements 4.0? I'd love one which has a video so I can see what they are doing. I did find one which you have to pay for but haven't found one which is good that is free.
Please someone help me. I'm about to smash my computer because I'm just so frustrated.

okay I'm trying to do this tutorial I found but am having a major problem. I have all my photos and objects open at the bottom of the screen but they are also open up at the top. It does not look like the tutorial. I then clicked on the X which closed my images and then clicked on the _ which closed it on the top but it remained on the bottom half (JUST LIKE TUTORIAL) Now, she's telling me to click on image on bottom. Which opens it up again and then click on top image and drag to the blank image. Well, I have tried everything. It will not drag and drop. What am I doing wrong?
Here's the tutorial website that I'm trying to follow.

there are now tutorials at www.scrapgirls.com too.
I have PSE 4.0, but I recently bought Microsoft Digital Image Suite 2006 and really enjoy it much more. It is more user friendly. I will still use PSE though for some things. I like to have more than one option.
I find it much, much easier to print my layouts from PSE because I can tell the printer where to set my page. I tell the printer (wide format b/c I print 12 x12) that I am going to print a 13 x 17, and I lower it 1/8th inch from the top, then I load it with Epson 12 x 12 Scrapbook paper. It honestly doesn't take up all that much ink, in my opinion. I have an Epson 1280 printer.

Check out my blog listed in my signature line. I tried to upload the file here but the file is too big and I can't figure out how to reduce the size yet.

now that you figured that out, it will be much easier. A good bbok for step by step tutorials is The Photoshop Elements Book for Photographers by Scott Kelby. I learned aobut a lot of the tools from this book.
Microsofts Digital Image Pro is like Photoshop but much easier. You don't have to go back and forth to the move tool to actually move something. It is about $65 dollars after the rebate right now.
I use both programs, but really enjpy creating layouts in DIP.

I just tried to download the 30 day trial version of Photoshop Elements and it couldn't complete - said something about the VGB not being compatible or something.
Does anyone know what this means & how I can get it resolved?
I would really like to try this during the free trial period.

New to Digiscrapping and sorta new here
Well after trying lots of programs I learned that I will never learn PS.. So I tired Storybook Creator Plus by CM and I love it. I love that I can use the kits off of the internet and how it keeps it all organized for me. I just wish they had a program that would organize my paper scrapping stuff.....LOL
Anyway, I am looking for kits. We went to Boston and walked the Freedom Trail this summer and I am ready to scrap it. Does anyone have any ideas where I can get a kit that is vintagy in style that would reflect American Heritage.
Thanks
Rachel

Have you tried Shabby Princess? Lots of free stuff. The best place to ask this is at www.digishoptalk.com. You'll get answers within minutes. There are soooo many stores!
Go to www.thedigichick.com and click on Mari Koelenberg or something like that. She has a vintage set. Gorgeous. I did an ATC, hybrid project with it which you can see in my gallery.
Google Annie Manning, I think she's at Shabby Pickle, and she has some gorgeous vintage item. I'm not sure what American Heritage is

Many, many thanks for all the links, hints and tips shared on this thread. With the help of all of you, I successfully downloaded, unzipped and created my first page.
The tutorial I found to be most helpful was this one
http://www.theshabbyshoppe.com/tutor...t_lo_pscs.html
from Shabby Princess. You can't beat video
I can see this could be quite an addiction. I already spent way too long downloading all the great freebies I found with the help of the other thread.
I love, love, love SCS! Thanks to everyone for sharing!!

I have found hummiesworld.com has great tutorials. If you want to see the video tuts, you have to subscribe. It is a small monthly fee of $5.50, and you receive an email each month before the charge is made if you want to cancel. You still have access to tons of tutorials, and she has a comprehensive list of scrapping sites listed. I have found it is the site I go to. Tons of free stuff, as well!
