LSC78 - Got Ribbon?
In honor of my new title, the only embellishment we are working, today, with is ribbon.
YES:
grosgrain ribbon
organdy ribbon
satin ribbon
belt ribbon
stitched ribbon
NO:
twill
hemp
thread
fibers
other embellishments (staples, brads, eyelets, primas, etc,)
Please put LSC78 in the keyword box when you upload!
Limit: embellishments (ribbon only)
Stamps: any
Ink: any
Cardstock: any
Accessories: any tools ( just not embellishments not on the YES list)
*** Since we have all made cards like this before, please limit your premade cards from your gallery to 2. Thanks! Let's make some new cards without adding that extra embellishment we think it needs from our growing stash!
***Next Friday is a holiday weekend! If you want to do a lot of stamping, I'm ready! I will have one grand prize to give away.
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!
Need help linking a card? Follow these instructions!
1. Open 2 windows. One window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Got to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
Your done!

Question: What is belt ribbon?
Sounds like a fun challenge! Hope I can find time to play today. If not, I'll work on it over the weekend. Thanks, Jen!

Phew! I don't know how I'd do a card without my paper piercer, Jen!
Sounds like a really great challenge ... and I am SO up for some stampin' challenges next weekend. I loved the last weekend challenge you organized for us.

Joann's makes Fashion Belting ribbon. It's wide and generally has stripes. It feels like fabric but looks like ribbon. I don't have the new SU ribbon, so I don't know if it's similar or not.

Good morning everyone! Thanks for the challenge Jen! I haven't stamped anything in so long that I feel like I need a remedial course! The kids went back to school Tuesday, and our house is on the market, just maintaining it on a daily basis & waiting for a buyer...so, I finally have time to stamp for the first time since the beginning of July! WooHoo!

I hate to sound too dense -- but -- I get confused on the difference between accessories and embellishments -- I under embellishment -- but accessory -- so we CAN use a paper piercer to pierce -- the piercer is the accessory and the hole is not an embellishment? This is getting way too technical (ha ha)!!! But really, I am confused.

You can use tools!
You just can't add extras items to your card except ribbon. The hole isn't an embellishment.. you're just altering the cardstock. Kind of like tearing it or sponging it to give it a distressed look.

Ok, here's mine... There is something on my scanner. It looks like there is a mark on the bottom of the card but there isn't. The scan does look as bright and vivid as the card really is. I wanted so badly to put dd and other things on this card but it's for a friend who likes things simple.
