Several card holders are posted below. Go through at least post #37 to see all of them in this merged thread.

How about making a box like the one that is shown on the front of the new catalog. If you have the catalog, the supplies are listed in the back of the book. if you don't have a catalog then you can jump to the stampin up website and look at the online catalog, there it will also give you a list of supplies. HTH!

I just sold a bunch of cards to my aunt and I made a box with a hinge lid out of cardstock and tied a ribbon around it. Here's a pic!

I have bought boxes at www.stamponthis.com . My favorites are the all-clear ones because they fold flat and store in my closet until I am ready to use them. They are high quality and the owner of the company is very nice.

I've also bought from them when I package card sets for fundraisers. I usually use the white bottoms with clear tops so prospective buyers can see the card fronts.

Jen, I made this box up for A2 sized cards. There are a couple of pictures (undecorated!) in my gallery with a link to the thread with the directions. It's actually really easy....

I would imagine it would be fairly easy to design a template. It looks like the cards in it are a small square, maybe 3 x 3 or 4 x 4. So, the width of the box would be either 3" or 4" and the depth looks like 1 1/2". I'll attach a template that I've made up quickly.

I think if you are just giving them as gifts it would be fine to just tie a ribbon around them, but if you are going to sell them to someone maybe a box would be better.

I made a holder out of a piece of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock. It holds 6 cards or 3 cards and 3 envies. If you want to make it thicker, you can use a 12x12 sheet and make the sides thicker. StarLitStudio provided the template I used.

Here's the link to mine:

Here's a template. I used a velcro dot to hold the front flap down as well as tied a length of ribbon around (taped on the bottom of the box). HTH, have fun!

I sold my Christmas cards at the craft fair last year with a wide sheer ribbon tied in a big bow. It was decorative, it held the cards together, and you could still see through the ribbon to the designs on the cards.

I love the box that you made! Is it possible to get the template/directions in a word document? I am unable to get the pdf.

Thanks,

I usually give a set of 4 or 6 for a hostess/thank you gift. I just tie a ribbon around it. Very informal, but attractive.

Thumbs up I've used this template for many card holders.

I use the quick card caddy template from snooksandboo.com. It holds 8 cards and 8 envies! It's very easy to use and it fits on a piece of cardstock. Here's one that I made.

I also found lg. white envies at Walmart that closed on one end.I sealed it. I stamped it. I cut 1/3 off the long way and crimped the bottom and then the bottm slides in under the top part. Then tied a ribbon around it. Clear as mud ?

I use the 6 x 6 page protector and make what I call a "Note Tote". Cut off the ring holes. Make a simple or fancy cardstock top folded over and closed with a stick-on velcro dot on the front about 2 1/2 inches down from the top edge. I attach the cardstock to the back of the protector with a couple of glue strips...one side on the plastic protector and the other on the underside of the cardstock. I usually put 6 cards in a note tote. When the notes are gone it doubles as a portable brag tote for photos.

If you would like, I could scan one to show. Hope this might help.

Please forgive me - I am new at this and I don't know how to make a "new" message - but in many of the cards I'm interested in - they have referred to getting their new TAC catalog and stamps from SIL - can someone help me.

Purse card boxes (for A2 cards) :o)

http://melstampz.blogspot.com/2009/0...purse-box.html
(Of course you could make it an original by using any shape that fits over the rectangular box...)

Julie's with a clear cardbox is amazing: http://paperpleasing.typepad.com/my_...-tutorial.html

Maria's accordian file folder purse tutorial rocks: http://stampininspirations.blogspot....-tutorial.html

This one is fantastic: http://andreawalford.com/?p=665 (original idea from Di) adapted by Andrea --Here it is as a purse: BigZ Tulipe Die Purse by ange306 at Splitcoaststampers

Carolina's purse box is lovely too http://creativepad.typepad.com/creat...-tutorial.html

Default More About Boxes

I know that many of you make your own boxes, but if you are looking for a variety of boxes that can be altered - you might want to try www.papermart.com. This is a whole saler so you may have to buy a larger quantity, but the prices are amazing. They have food quality boxes, shipping boxes, celo bags - you name it. And everything I've ever ordered from them comes quickly and is top quality.
