This week the Way's to Use it Challenge is to use your Coluzzle templates or any other shape-cutting template you may have...Fiskars, Creative Memories, etc. Feel free to share any tips you may have on this thread. I find that keeping the Coluzzle knife straight up and down is crucial.
Please remember to post a link back here and put WT73 in your keywords section so that we can all see your work. Remember this is not a race or contest...you have all week and beyond to post as many as you like. Please remember not to upload on Sundays to give our moderators a break.
There are many great examples in the gallery. If you want some inspiration, do a search for coluzzle. I just couldn't pick one.
I'm off to see Oliver this afternoon but will be around for the morning if you have any questions. Happy stamping.
Thanks, Julia, for a good challenge. I just bought circle scissors. Have to give it a try today. But I'm going back to work after five days of vacation. Playing will have to wait until this evening.
oh my! I use my Creative Memories cutting system on MOST of my cards. BUT, I can't play today... have a lot of "house work" to do before going away tonight.
I don't typically do this.... but here are a some from my gallery. meaning of life...
I guess I got SO carried away with posting these samples because I LOVE my Creative Memories cutting system! It is truly SO fast and easy to use. I have tried the other one you need that tiny exacto blade for..... I must be a total goon... I can't make nice cuts with it!
I have a Coluzzle but I don't like it. I always have a problem getting the edges to match. Does that make sense? If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know! Thanks!

Sounds like lots of fun-Thanks Julia!!
I have the CM one too--seemed to be popular opinion here. (And the thought of an exacto knife...ack! DH cut himself 4 years ago making DD #1's birth announcements.)
Wendy, you have to make your you keep your blade vertical and also hold the template in place really well so it doesn't move even a hair. You could probably a temporary adhesive like Dotto to hold it in place. That works great to hold templates. But you'd still want to hold it with your hand. KWIM?
After getting to know Joan, Shestampshecamps and seeing her creations I purchased the Creative Memories cutting system. It rocks! Joan you were so right. I gave all my coluzzle stuff to my daughter this weekend. I figured I would never use it again. My friends tell me how anal I am I will have to share the templetes I made after the last VSN. I was getting so confused when I was rushing. Which circle or oval to use? What color cutter. I wanted a FAST way to decide all that. Here it is. I used red blue and green cardstock. I marked my plastic templetes A, B, C.
So each layer is marked, if I used the A templete, the outside edge, and the green cutter I marked the green cardstock AO. I can slip my image in between the pages and instantly know what I need to use. Maybe these photos will help.
Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.
This sounds like a fun challenge. I have been thinking about a card using my colluzle for the last few days. I think I will just have to put it on paper now. Thanks Julia.
Have the CM system....realized I've missed a couple of birthdays...so now to see what I can come up with!!! Thanks Julia for reminding us about our tools!!
Julia, great idea for a challenge. I'm off to play. I'm celebrating a great doctor's visit and check-up today!

Still didn't find my camera memory card! So I can't upload anything new. I'm going to just link something I uploaded yesterday morning. I used my Coluzzle to cut the oval.
Here's my Heartfelk Cameo (that should be HeartfelT!!)
oh, sorry here's another one I used for the oval! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I have the CM tools and love those and forget to reach for them. Great challenge Julia, it is always nice to be reminded of what is already in your stash being neglected.

Melody, thanks for the suggestions. I will try again!
I love using my coluzzle as you can tell if you look at my gallery. I overlapped part of my heart template so that my card opens from the tip of the heart. Thanks so much for checking it out. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

Here is my card...will have to make another one. I got a few new sets, but bodacious is my favorite and I have been wanting to use it with this template.
