I need some help! A good friend of mine (who has never really stamped before) just placed her 2nd stamp order from me. Her first order was placed a few years ago before I was a demo at a party I hosted. She never used any of that stuff and even gave away some of it. I really want her to use and love the stuff she is getting this time, so I'd like to show her a bunch of samples of things she can do with her very limited supplies. Who better to ask than all you incredibely creative ladies, so...
I'd like to issue a CHALLENGE to make a card using the following list of very limited supplies. You may use anything on the list, but nothing else.
Stamp Sets: All Natural, In Full Bloom, Lexicon Of Love
CS: Any Soft Subtles, US Vanilla, Glossy White
Ink: Any Soft Subtles, Basic Black, Ruby Red, Garden Green, Close to Cocoa
Accessories and Embellishments: Mono, double-stick tape, DD glitter, CE, 2-way glue, ribbon (any type or color), dimensionals, watercolor brush, crayon any regular household products that can be used for a technique (such as shaving cream, etc.)
This challenge will run through Saturday night. Please upload your creation to the gallery and post the link to this thread. When you upload please include Limited Supply Challenge in the key words section. On Sunday I will have a couple of stampin' buddies choose their favorite card and I will send the winner a little prize. WANNA PLAY????
Jami, Your challenge sounds great, and I wish I could play but I'm leaving early tomorrow for a week. So unless I get some freetime today I'll miss out. Hope you get some good ones though.

This is a GREAT challenge!!!! what a great way to support your friend! I wish I would have had someone looking out for me and helping me when I first started. I was CLUELESS. Some of the cards I sent out I would crawl under my desk and cry if I saw them now!!!!!!!! Especially now that I know how simple and easy it can be to make a beautiful card. It sounds like she has a good list of supplies to start out with! Thanks for sharing this challenge with us! I'll upload something in the next couple of days!
I really wish you could see the Lexicon of Love parts better. They were done on glossy cardstock and I used my fingers to smash the color into the paper. Some parts are pretty pink and others the white really shows through. I wish you could see the effect. This was really fun!

Amazingly enough, I just finished a 6x6 swap using this very same list. I have yet to mail it but I will upload it to my gallery as soon as I scan it in.
Ok, I have wanted to force myself to create more of my own originals so this is the perfect challenge. I hope I can get it done in time. I have a stinking infection today so I don't know how I'll feel. Has anyone ever had their saliva gland infected? Weird!!

Ok, here's my first attempt. I haven't used my All Natural since I got it so I may try that tomorrow. Can I play more than once?
On the 'friend' in the corner, I didn't use my markers, I stamped on a sheet of thin printer paper and then cut the friend out of the copy paper. I couldn't get it to line up so I layed the stamp rubber facing up on the table...placed the paper (is that a mask of some sort?) over the stamp so I could just see the word 'friend'... then I lined my card corner up and placed it on top of it and just rubbed the paper to get the image.

Well, I wanted to put eyelets... ok checked the list....no eyelets. Then I thought I could use brads... ok check the list again... no brads. So then I thought... ok I'll put the 'friend' down there. Then I went to get my marker and thought... that's not on the list. So I had to figure out something.
It's hard when you have all your supplies at your fingertips but you can't use them. If I get to play again tomorrow I will sit at my table with those supplies only instead of my workstation.
Thanks for posting this challenge.
