IC35 - Television Poster
Inspiration Challenge 35 - Television Poster
I found this Family Guy poster at art.com.
Here is my sample:
Celebrate You
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday. You may upload until midnight Pacific time; after that, please either attach your card to this thread or wait until Monday. Thank you!!
The idea of the Inspiration Challenge is to train your brain to look at the world around you for ideas. You do *not* need to recreate the piece - let your creative juices run wild! Feel free to change the colors, adjust the layout, or pick a different theme -- this is all up to your own interpretation! There are no rules!
Please add IC35 to your keywords (do not use a space or #). If you have other keywords, use a comma to separate them. Adding the challenge number to the keywords helps us to see all the submissions together.
Be inspired and go get stamping!

Boy, I'm glad I'm subscribed to the master thread. It's been one of those days and I totally forgot to be on the lookout for this challenge. At the moment, I am coming up with a total blank for any ideas. This could be a tough one. Thanks for keeping us on our toes, Karen.

Great poster -- love the name on the bottom right hand corner -- LOL! Won't be able to play today -- having company for four days. Maybe I'll give it a try later in the week. Have fun, everyone!

Melody, If you subscribe to a master thread do you get an email update everytime someone posts to it or just when it is recreated each week for the new challenge?

Kittie,
The long answer is yes, you'll get a post anytime anyone posts to the Master Thread; however, rarely does anyone other than me post to the IC master thread. Here is a link to it:
Forums at Splitcoaststampers
And all you need to do to subscribe is use the drop down menu from Thread Tools (directly above the thread title) - that way you don't have to post to subscribe.
HTH!

I want to play, hopefully I can today! I'm truly stumped on this one though. I never watch TV. I'm going to JoAnn's today, maybe I'll see something while I'm out and about to get me inspired.

Another interesting challenge, Karen!! All I could think of was geo and retro so kinda took that direction. Joni bought up all the retro stamps and paper so Fluffles had to fill in for me!

I went a little liberal on this challenge. I was inspired to make this card by a movie I watch called Under The Tuscan Sun. I was inspired by the beauty of Italy and tried to use tuscan colors in this card. I went with grapes because of the beautiful vinyards there.

This was my first time doing an inspiration challenge. It was fun!! My first thought when I saw the poster was to make a hexagon card, but this is what I did instead.

I joined Jerri and went a little off the inspiration piece. Really the only likeness to it is that there are people on layers on the card. Anyway, I had fun doing it.

I was really inspired by this one. I made a set of note cards for my DIL. She doesn't stamp...YET... But loves to have me make cards for her. I uploaded the wrong image, this one is turned sideways. ooooops. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Lots of work cutting the daisy but I like how these turned out overall. TFL

I'm finding these challenges - when I actually do them - a great learning experience. This is what came to mind - mind? what little bit of mind I have left I suppose - just kidding! Please feel free to suggest improvments as they come to you, I'm diffently open for them!
Thanks for your viewing, Joyce

Well, I just looked and commented on every card and now I must go try and create. I think next time I create and then look because I have everyones images in my head. All the cards were great so far but I have to say my favorite is the hedgehogs on stage with the ribbon curtains.

IC35 It's a Girl
I used pretty in pink and mint meledy paper, pink ribbon with white polka dots on the baby blocks (bought these at a dollor store) and at the top of the card, and a green gemstone to dot the i. The card opens off to the side between the saying and the blocks.
Thanks again for a great challenge. I went the opposite and instead of "family guy" I went with girl.
