I was hoping to get these done this weekend, but I have a nasty cold that has zapped all of my energy . Hopefully, I am feeling better tomorrow. Last night I had to miss the ghost walk in the cemetery and tonight I am going miss our friend's Halloween party. I hate being sick!
Not too bad here yet. The worst is yet to come.
Brodock is closed tomorrow, so I have an extra day (without pay) to get caught up around here. I've already shredded a pile of paperwork and "filed/sorted" some in my craft room. I'll tackle the rest of my swap projects for Saturday tomorrow. Maybe bake/cook and do some cleaning. I LOVE getting an unexpected free day!!!!!

Hi Nancy, have a great day off, no better way to spend it than in your craft room and you baking what are you going to be baking?? Say hi to everyone for me , have fun Saturday.
I haven't decided what to bake yet. I know I'm making chicken and dumplings for dinner though. We have pineapple cookies and homemade (DELICIOUS) choc./choc. cake already. What else could I possibly bake? Suggestions?
Just rain and wind here from Sandy. our power stayed on- wish it could have gone off for a short time, just long enough to say-NO Work today so I could work.
Almost finished mine! Just need to add the finishing touches! They are taking longer than I expected to complete...I guess that's what happens when you add lots of layers and make all of the embellishments! LOL!
Starting to get ideas for this... so many choices... and I love the new Christmas dies that TH has out but the ones I really loved would be too big for tags I think... the cardinal on the branch or the pointsettia... so trying to figure out what I want to do...

Relieved to hear the tags arrived safely and so glad you liked them. Lots of work, but worth the effort. Can't wait to see what the other ladies did, I know they'll be great.
Ordered a die for this, and now waiting for it to arrive and then I will play and create. Hoping it gets here before this weekend since Monday is a holiday and that means I have an extra day to create.
Last year I followed TH's video and instructions to make my tags and those things took forever! There were so many layers and inks I think it took me a couple hours just to make one! This year, I was trying for something simpler... yet still elegant and with layers. I think Tim Holtz is the Emeril of crafting.... haha... they make it look simple, but if you have ever made an Emeril Lagasse recipe, you'll know what I mean.
But they do turn out fabulous, don't they?
I was thinking of starting with this idea, but don't have all of the supplies exactly so will modify from there.. 12 tags of christmas…tag 4 | Tim Holtz

Egads! Some of you are already done with these!? I feel slow now. Are there pics to share? I'm going with a snowman, snowflakes idea.
I put mine in the mail this afternoon, but forgot to take a pic! I used this tag as my inspiration, but it turned out a bit differently as I don't have all the TH supplies! http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-christmasday-9/

Ooh, love it! I know what you mean, these are time consuming! I made mine in stages...I had to or I would have spent an entire weekend making them! I enjoyed making them and they did turn out well, but did take a lot of time!
Oh, I know this one will be in stages too. I did order the snowflake border die so waiting on it to arrive, and I already have the snowman and the large tag dies so will use those. I don't have the 25 as dies, but may try it with my Cricut somehow... will have to see how it works out and play with it. I don't have those exact colors in stains and such because its hard to get them individually here unless you order online from Joanns or such, but I've got some others and colors I'll work with til I get the effect I want.
Okay, I am confused... We have 13 signed up including Pat and ourself, but it says we mail in 14 and won't get one of our own back and the extra is for Pat? That doesn't make sense.
We would sent in 13 (12 plus the one extra for the hostess) and get back 12 (not one of our own back), right? If we sent 14 we'd be getting back one of our own. Plus Pat is in the swap too so will be getting two sets of them all, right? (her spot #1 and the hostess set).
I made 13 to send to will get them postal this week.
