Talking Swapped and on their way home return.... postage holders

I saw this swap and I missed signing up for it so I thought I’d start one, now that the other swap is over. This is for return postage holders, they are great little things to send return postage in.

Here is a link for some ideas----- http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...lder&x=28&y=18

This will be an 8+1, 9 total swap (you will not get one of your own back so please make an extra for yourself)
* Please make this with good quality card stock
* At least one embellishment
* Please make this a min. of 2 layers.
* Please put your name on the back of your work

Sign up for as many spots as you would like but please remember to make a different design for each spot that you take (but within that spot they are to be identical)

These need to be in my hands no later than 2/15 I will swap within a week. If all are received early, I will swap at that time. If you don’t plan on making and mailing PLEASE do not sign up. If something happens and you have to pull out as long as you give me plenty of time to refill the spot no problem. Flakers will be reported

Place your swap in a plastic zipper type bag prevent possible water damage. Write your SCS name, real name, and swap name on the bag or on a piece of paper placed inside the baggie.

I will reuse the envie that you send your swap in but please include a return address label and the same amount of postage as it took to mail to me + 3 additional stamps
NO metered strips!!! All unused postage will be returned.

Debbie Hayes
7321 So 183rd St

checked in as of 1/27
RED=your swap was recieved
Black=on their way home
SILVER = got their swap back

no, no specific size, I used to get one from a girl that was the size of a 3" square, some people make them so that they can fit a return address label too.Most of my Canadian swappers send US funds but if you have access to US postage that would be fine. Would you like me to sign you up ?

I am checking this out and possibly signing up but I have to be honest. I have no idea what these are for. LOL. just a little something to put return postage in our swap packages instead or a ziplock or free floating??? does the hostess keep that?? or do they send it back in your swap???

Hi, Debbie! I live in Omaha, too. The background of your profile pic is one of my favorite places in town! I'm a teacher, so I am definitely looking forward to the snow! Do you know if there is a template anywhere for these?
Thanks,
Stephanie

No, the hostess sends it back--it woulld be safe (if the person making the postage holder dosen't incorporate it in the item) to maybe stick a paper in with the stamps to let her know that you want her to return the postage holder

There is no template, or rules, but in the thread there is a link that has a few ideas, anything that would have a little slit, pocket, pouch, just something that would hold postage stamps and maybe a return address lable

not enough snow to close schools, maybe tomorrow, what school are you at, and yes Archivers--I get in trouble there. Last Thurs $120. OYE!

OOH.. I thought that the hostess would keep it.
I wouldn't expect mine to come back.

I fiddled around with some paper today and came up with an idea that's super easy! i'm going to make mine little mini diaper folds.

Hi, Sue!
I'm in central O, near 90th & Maple. Where are you? I don't know many other stampers here in town. We should all get together at Archivers (or something) sometime!

On another note - NO SCHOOL TOMORROW!!!!! Yay!!!!!

Debbie - sign me up for one spot for now, please. Thanks!

maybe we should start a thread for Omaha girls to chat on

I scrap with friends on Thursday afternoon----funny thing in the beginning there were 2 Debbie's in the grp, then we had a Stephanie join, so there was Marilyn, 2 Debbie's, 1 Stephanie, then a Vickie and another Stephanie joined the grp, the a couple months ago another Deb joined
so imagine if we were all together and we had to go around the room with introductions and out of 9 people we had 3 Debbie's, and 3 Stephanie. lol

One time I was in management for Godfathers (in another state and over 25 yrs ago) my boss's name was Debbie, her room mates name also Debbie, we had a crew chief and her name was Debbie, well we decided to go out for a drink after work one time. So here ya go 4 young girls coming in and sitting at the bar, the bar tender I guess was going to flirt-looking for that bigger tip ya know, anyway he asked us our names and when we each said out names were Debbie - he turned and walked away. It was funny but how many people would just think of telling people that everyone had the same name.

Have either of you girls ever gone to Yesterdays scrapbook store

The snow is comin down, DH was up, and in the garage at 4:30 pulling out Christmas yard decorations, he put up a couple of things (he has been working nights and last night and tonight are his nigths off and he wants keep the sleep pattern) and if he doesn't get called on for overtime he'll put up some more tonight - most of the neighbors know that he works crazy shifts so for them to see him out there when they leave for work at 5 am they don't think anything of it.

And that's just about how it went to. it was funny, just to think about how often EVERY one in the grp would have the first name (lol --- unless your a grp that gets together BECAUSE you have the same name lol)

Yep! It's basically right down the street. I was just in there the other night looking for Tim Holtz Christmas stamps. They didn't have the set I was looking for, though. I am so impatient about ordering online! LOL!

I think BU is Bellevue University.

Yes! I made a couple of prototypes yesterday & today looked through my stack of PP to see what I had enough of to make 9. I settled on some DSP from SU in Pacific Piont. I didn't have any stamps that would really go with it, and they're pretty small, so I just decorated them with a giant prima flower, ribbon & a glitter star. I hope they're ok for this swap....
