Hi there girls, I have started a hatpin swap, for those of you that are scrappers or card makers these make wonderful little things to have in your stash, they go together quick and easy, they are addicting, and all the different colors of beads and designs that others come up with, they are also nice to display just to look at. Glad to know there are other crazy crafters out there. I have stayed up late every night this week crafting for different swaps and going to bed at 2 or 3 am. Part of that is from the jet lag still. Once I get on a roll it's hard to stop. Also, I didn't have American TV for ten years and now have Netflix. I'm addicted and catching up on shows and movies while I craft. I had to drag myself out of bed every morning for work. I'm going to try not to do that next week as I know it's not healthy.

been there, glad my kids are all grown and gone, I can almost leave things on the table to dry, or to just stay overnight while I'm playing the placement game and not have to worry about the table getting bumped because little eyes are looking at what I'm doing, or wanting to touch, but oh I do miss it though

I hope everyone is having a great week. I have been working on recipe cards and card candy. Glad it's a 3 day weekend so I'll have more time for crafting.
I too seem to be a night owl when it comes to creating. (Well, my Fibromyalgia doesn't help either.) LOL

Just stopping in to say hi. I haven't started my cards, but will early next week. My doctor put my crafting on hold for a few days to rest carpal tunnel-wrecked wrists. I can't wait to get back to my craft room and my cards!

my swaps:DVD CASE WITH TAGS MINI ALBUM USED JUNK
Hope everyone had a good weekend and great MLK day. In addition to swaps, I am finishing a small quilt; I just have to finish the binding which I am sewing by hand. It's perfect weather to stay inside and sew.
We had lots of snow this weekend so went out with our Siberian Husky on our antique dog sled. He's strong enough to pull me for short spurts. It was lots of fun.

Here it's been rather warm, low 80's for the past few days, an will be for the rest of the week, it should cool down to low 70's high 60's this weekend, I broke out the capris and flip flops yesterday---what the heck this is mid Jan!!!
That does sound like fun with the dog, we had a husky yrs ago he was actually he husbands dog he was about 3 or 4 when I came into the picture, we took the dog up to the highschool down the street from the house so he could run and play in the snow, LITTLE did I know, when you clipped the end of the leash to the (handle) loop THEN it was time to play. WELLLLLLL, I did that he was running behind me, he heard the metal clip click and it was on.... he came running at me (mind you I didn't see any of this happening and it happened so fast) I was at the top of a hill, he took one last leap and grabbed the leash in his mouth, down the hill we went, I didn't know this dog very well and he was having a ball pulling me head first down the hill, and did it dawn on me to let go of the leash-------NO!...the husband (bf at the time ) yelling down the hill -- let gooooooo of the leeeeeeash.

Just stopping by to say hi. I'm trying to let all the people I'm swapping with know that I'm getting ready to have surgery on my left hand, I'll know the date tomorrow. But I'm working overtime to finish all of my swap commitments before the surgery, so you should have my cards next week.
I see it's just about 3am, so I think it's time for this late night to come to an end!

I received your cards today. They are gorgeous. I showed them to my crafting co-worker who is in the swap and she said "We have to raise the bar." Thank you for all the hostess items. All the bling is so pretty. One thing I miss about living in the US is not being able to shop in a store and see all the new crafting supplies; I have to shop online for everything and it's not the same as seeing items in person.
I received your cards today. They are gorgeous. I showed them to my crafting co-worker who is in the swap and she said "We have to raise the bar." Thank you for all the hostess items. Wow, your cards are absolutely gorgeous. I have got to post some pictures. How clever of you to use the cup guard. What did you make the flowers (with the words on them) out of, a phone book?
I also like how you used the stick pins. I am going to copy that idea.

I am going to go work on my stick pins; Some are too plain, so I am going to add feathers.

Yeah not a problem post photos, I cant get the photos from my phone to the laptop.
The flowers were made from book pages, as much as some people disagree I took the pages out of an old book and then the flowers were cut on the cricut then colored with glimmer mist.
I made the cocoa holders at the same time that my friend (that is in my hat pin swap) made her hat pin holders out the same cup holders (they look very similar, just in case you happen to get one of her pin sets)
