RECEIVING GRATITUDE Journal/Daybook Pages Due Nov. 30th
I simply adore this idea. But do I have the creativity to page 52 different pages... not always... and probably not before next year starts!!!
What a great Christmas gift to yourself or a loved one this year!!!
52 pages, one for each week with a numbered list 1-7 for each day of the week to fill out your gratitude that day.
This swap will be for the pages only, binding and covers will be up to you!
But the pages to fill your book can be found here.
Join as many groups as you would like to get as many pages as you want to fill your book. You should only be short 2 pages and a cover!
You will make 10 pages, that are pretty much the same that are numbered 1-7 for each day of the week. And get back 10 different pages in return for your book! No real size appropriations, but try to avoid full page 8.5 x 11 and smaller than 3x5 sizes. We will use that as a too large/ too small guide. No Hostess requirement.
Please use Quality materials, that you would like to receive back and that will hold up in a mis-shapen book!
Please leave spacing on the left side of your pages to allow for binding. 1/2 inch or so. If you are making a page on the longer side, assume the binding will be done portrait and not landscape... otherwise pages may be portrait or landscape for variety.
When mailing, please include a self addressed mailer/envelope inside of your envelope with proper postage already attached (no metered/dated postage). (It should cost ABOUT the same to mail to me, as it does to you plus the discrepancy between heavier/larger pages than yours... so you will need about that much postage plus a little EXTRA in case. Unless you are using flat rate priority ) or label/postage, if you would like me to re-use your envie.

Group: Eighth set of 10 pages (Not sure if these will FILL if not, we will make the number of spots minus one, feel free to sign up even if you already have 50 pages coming to you and you feel you can handle making another set! These can be used in scrapbook pages, smash books etc... and you may want to have the ability to be more choosey about what you put in your book, so a few extra pages might be nice to swap out here or there.

If by some odd chance we fill these all up and have more requests, I am happy to open more sets...
ABSOLUTELY NO FLAKERS!! And please COMMITTED Sign ups ONLY. Each person will be making enough for the exact numbers listed in these groups. Please do not let your partners down!
I will try to compile the pictures people post of their pages here:
Rachel,
I am assuming that tabs could be added to the edge, small sentiment stamped on it or a stamping a light colored image on the background, add ribbon or fibers, etc.
This sounds like fun! I'm going to take one spot for now and possibly add more later. So, any size within the guidelines and any design as long as it has the numbers 1-7, right? I'm guessing you want a good weight type paper, right?
OH yes, please remember to use quality items that you would like to receive back. It may be thinner if it is a special tag or something really special that you think would be spectacular!
Okay, I must be crazy but I'll do 5 spots too, I just love the idea!
But I would agree with the others to please require they be made at least with cardstock, not construction or copy paper as those would get awfully flimsy and rip too easily especially as they wouldn't all be the same sized pages.
I figured that was the case, and most of that realize it, but sometimes it's good to put it in the swap details so everyone gets the message. I've hosted swaps where I assume people know things, and they don't always.
I LOVE my BIA! HobbyLobby use to carry them... and you could use a coupon... not sure if they still do. I have had mine for many years, and just used it this morning!
For two of the groups I will be using more like a chipboard base, 1 group like a file folder base, and the other two not sure yet.
Will that be OK?
This is not a swap then that requires at least 2 layers with any embellishment requirements for each page? Just double-checking....
Sounds great! NO layering REQUIRED, just nice quality pages you would like! And they need to be numbered somehow 1-7. Embellish to your hearts content, leaving space for journaling and knowing that it is a book that will be bound.
Can be interactive, envelope pages etc. Anything really, variety will be fun in the book. just nice quality work that you would LOVE in your own book!

Thanks, Rachel.... ARe you thinking portrait or landscape binding? And do you want to "possibly" ask that 1/2" or more be left available for binding? Just an idea and maybe it is not necessary.
Oh good idea Joan! I would say that it can be portrait or landscape... up to you, since you know how you would bind your book, and many will be sticking out here and there. Let's go with anything on the LONG side should be assumed it will be bound 'portrait'.
Do not forget to check out the CTMH sale! 2 Stamps for $5! With any $35 purchase... and each $35 purchase earns one entry into my drawing for any one stamp set your choice!! Close To My Heart
What a wonderful idea. Have been keeping a journal about this latest health challenge and would love to transition over to a brand new gratitude journal when this journey is pau.
Hey Rachel - Would you please sign up ScrappinAbby for all 5 groups... she is a friend of mine here on SCS and now is at work but will confirm with this thread later today.
One set of pages done! And it was not a very long process either. I did 12 in case I need to fill in some groups etc. and it was only about 30 minutes!!! Coming up with the page is the hardest part... so I am SO excited I only have to come up with a few... and I will still get a book full of variety!!!!
Library card page, with washi tape border, grateful (CTMH) sentiment and fun numbers (purple onion designs), all stamped in memento inks and attached to DCWV Old world paper that was distressed.
