Anyone interested in making photo wallets, photo books, explosion boxes, squash books or handmade scrapbooks. Anything you can put pictures in. This will be a NVR swap...Use at lease 3-4 embellistments or techniques. Use your imagination and be proud of your work.

Mailing Instructions...
~ Place your items in a sealed plastic bag for waterproofing purposes.
~ Write the name of the swap, your SCS name & your real name on a piece of paper and include it inside the bag.
~ Please place the name of your swap on the outside of your envelope.
~ Please include a SASE and/or pre-addressed mailing label with the amount of postage you paid plus few extra
stamps just in case the return items weigh more.

is a squash book the same thing as an explosion box? i tried to type in the link you gave and it just sent me back here to your thread

FYI a squash book and an expplosion box are 2 different things not same at all!

a squash book (research internet) is like a journal with calendar & pictures and journaling and even sticky notes. the explosion box is pictures. Personally explosion boxes and I've seen many of them are so cool! I tried one had problems took a workshop and now I can get them to work. Our local Archiver's did week long workshops on the squash book. I was not that impressed with squash book reminded me of a messy daytimer! but they are growing in popularity. u tube has a ton of great video on both topic's with detailed patterns on some in case you want to see them in variety. they have some explosion boxes with neat twists to them!

hey sekerosiris, explosion boxes are not hard and very pretty. If time were to allow I'd sign up for that but right now I'm helping a sister out and in travel so majority of my supplies are in another state. I would like to find way. u tube has great easy explosion box video's. I hope you decide to do them you would have fun! I really like them. if you need link's maybe I can locate couple for you? just me me know. I took workshop that Archiver's offered was shocked how beautiful and fun and not much supply was really needed just some time first one was slow but my 2nd one just went together very nicely. I decorated the lid with ribbon and paper rose. it was a birthday gift.

if we do explosion boxes those would need mailing in a box not envelope.

hey noreen, are you actually adding explosion boxes to the list? I can't comitt right now but maybe interested if my plate becomes less full, given the due date is aug 28th I certainly hope so!! but there is the additional problem of mailing those would need a box because they would be assembled to form small boxes. there are so many choices in this swap almost too many. I signedup for photo wallets (easy project) but was considering one other project as well. Just not sure what to do was leaning toward those mini albums. will let you know just thinking and watching for now. nice swap.

hi yes i got hooked on explosion boxes some time ago i had seen them on you tube but didnt know how to make them i finally one entire week watched dang near every youtube video on explosion boxes and finally after almost a week found instructions on how to make one now i do classes on them at my house they are fun but a ton of work i was telling chery lime that i have started a steam punk explosion but am not sure what im going to do with it if your going to add expl boxes to the list ill do it they are alot of work but if i get exp boxes back it will be ok so if you are going to add this i will take one spot in that and one spot in Mini photo album... i go out of town on the weekends so i am sometimes a couple of days late on a swap if this is an issue i wont do it ..... also for mailing you could mail it exploded (more flat) still i think i would put card board in the mailer to keep the lid from being squashed it would not be as exciting to get them already exploded but probably much less expensive to ship

I tweaked the details of the due date. Hopefully now that I've added explosion boxes, more people will sign up and I can swap the like items among you. Mailing them flat is fine. I also have a few boxes floating around I can use for mailing them back. Let me know if this works

ok just a thought (thinking out loud) but if the lid or top is the decorative part wouldn't you still have to use a box to ship? it's fine if box is flat but the decorative lids are what is so very attractive. you really don't want it squashed or flatten because how could you decorate it? so it would still be a box for shipping at least the depth of the lids, right? am I missing something? and box would have to be large enough for the flatten boxes. right?

if you dont mind me being potentially a couple days late you can sign me up for 1 spot in explosion boxes and 1 spot in squash i had never done one and chery lime sent me directions on it so i tried it and finished it that night so thoes seem to not take too much time of course i let my BF do all the crazy orgami folding involved i just decorated it lol~ Jodi

you can theme those explosion boxes very nicely I swa a gingerbread house explosion box week ago if I can find link I'll post meanwhile those 2 birdhouses are fantastic!
wouldn't a doll house explosion box be so cute! in center you could add little tiny doll house or doll accessory gift.
or a cabin and in center add dad gift of fishing hooks or something small! or for woman add small jewerly piece and make it look like a home or jewerly store.
