I am going to try and get some crafting in. I was working on some scrapbook pages for another swap and ran out of paper at midnight last night. GRRRR I was almost done too. The paper I used was on sale last week and with it being Sunday, I am sure it is not on sale anymore for me to get more.. lol that is my luck!!!! I also need to get in a lot of studying today. I have my first big test already coming up on Wednesday. I am a bit nervous about it since this class is really hard.
Knew you find some fun things to do today Peggie Sue!
First exam already Jennifer? That sure came fast - sending you hugs and support - take it a little bit at a time..... Was going to say, sort of like eating an elephant - but that sounded just wrong.
Today I am going to get some more crafting done, as well as connecting with some old friends - including writing a snail mail letter!
So glad you are back! I pray all is settling and getting back on track for you.

Just thought I'd check in and let everyone know that I'm back onto SCS. I know I've been gone for a few months and it has nothing to do with being summer. Last month I lost my job and it's been especially emotionally difficult for me.
I am back now and getting into my crafts again. I'll be working on my composition books and whatever papercrafting item I can think of to go with it.
I absolutely couldn't decide if I liked the "roses" or the "quilt" fabric the best, so I made two of each And my embossing actually WORKED! - I usually have alot of trouble with embossing, I'm quite proud I finally mastered it!
OH MY GOODNESS! Its like Christmas here! The mailman and DH had to get the boxes in the door!
Sheree -- What can I say but that you always amaze me with your awesome items! Love the quilted curling iron covers, fabulous totes with goodies, and those owl bags are just soooo cute and the goodies in there -- you just outdo yourself all the time. I still wish I could come be one of your students just to make all the projects you do!
Mauiueno -- Your lovely dishcloths with scrubbies arrived! So pretty and love that scrubby pattern! You will have to send me the pattern. Hope you are feeling much better and healing well!
Sherri -- You spoil me, girlfriend! Thank you. And the scarves and dishcloths are so perfectly done! I don't know how you manage it, mine are always so loose!
Christina -- Wow, you need to have an Etsy shop. Those bags are sweet (hiding them from the twins already) -- what's inside? And those frames came out absolutely awesome!
Kari --
I just realized I hadn't marked yours received but I think I posted right? Your coffee cups and purses are sooooo cute... the girls were eyeballing them and I had to hide them away in the craft room so they would leave them alone!!
All I have to say is that you ladies never cease to amaze me!!! You are all going to love these items... so beautiful and on top of that ones that you will use! And I know you aren't going to want to give any away so you may as well let me know if you have any items in particular you are eyeballing because they have all been absolutely amazing! Believe me!
I had MAJOR and I mean MAJOR problems with the sewing machine and did not get my items finished when I planned. The repair person is fixing it today so I can finish tonight and get them in the mail in the morning!!!! UGH I hate cutting it so close but I could not predict this ... mess!
My box went postal today. Please use my box again if you can. My hubby went on a "pitch spree" and threw out all my boxes I was saving. I'm sorry, the one I had to use wasn't ideal.
We had the tractor caravan yesterday. 11 model A's, 19 tractors and 2 1902 horseless buggies made the 25 mile trek. 75 people participated in all. 21 members of 1 family, from the 89 year old great grandma to a 2 month old did the caravan by riding in a covered wagon. We also had 4 generations on tractors complete the caravan. Today we have bottled 48 quarts of peaches.
I'm teaching a Friday sewing class this school year. Now to figure out projects and how I'm awarding credit.

Susan, box will be postal tomorrow. You should get it Wed, since you live so close but I guess you never know. I am sending you 4 cowl scarves with buttons (all different colors since I was using up some left over yarn) and 4 dish cloths, doily's or wash cloths - depending on what you use them for. School is crazy right now but it is only the beginning. I also bought a new car - Candy Apple Red Ford Fiesta, love it!! Have a terrific week!!

I love Miss B, but I sure do miss keeping up with everyone on here!! Shereel...we could have made 12 model A's for you if I'd been there! Sounds like a great time!
Well, girls, I sent a PM to Susan asking for her forgiveness...I sewed food-safe sandwich and snack bags for one of my spots and I knit cowls for the other (never made one and had several patterns I just had to try...and a lovely bamboo yarn in my stash that just begged to be knit)....BUT...I just realized yesterday that these are due TOMORROW and the cowls still need to be blocked/dried before I can mail them... If Susan will allow me to be a couple of days late, I'll be happy to send them as soon as they are dried, but if not, I'm so sorry to have missed out on this swap! Who knew how fast the time would fly when I signed up for this MONTHS ago! LOL
Hope everyone has a great day...it's all icky and rainy here, but we need it! Miss B also suffered through her first cold this past weekend...we had a sleepless night on Friday, but she seems to be doing much better and over it pretty quickly!
Jen - how did your exams go??? I saw a post from someone wishing you well...not sure when they were, but good luck or congrats (cause I KNOW you passed) whichever is appropriate!
If you are talking to me..... my exams for last semester went really well... This semester I have already had 1 exam, THis class is really hard, pathophysiology. I did well in my test though. I am also taking Customer Service in Health Care which is much easier. I actually like school at this point but will be glad when it is over so i can have somewhat of a socail life back!!!
It would have been fun to have had you. We don't ever take our model A. Dad's in the model A club so that's how they became part of the caravan. By the time we get every together we don't have enough drivers or time to do both. We have 6 Allis Chalmers. It started as a tractor caravan so dad feels he has to take the tractors because he's the one in charge on the fair board for the event. The great- grand kids love the tractors more. My dad drives my great-grandpa's tractor. He grew up next door to his grandparents so he loves it. We now are 6 generations on the tractor. Now I can do some scrapping and card making before we hit getting ready for a 6 state early gas engine tractor gathering in October.

"Social life"?? What's that? If I ever had one, I've forgotten what it was! HA! Yep, I did mean you...wow...I feel like a "dumby"...what's "pathophysiology"?? More power to ya, girl, cause I can't say your class names, much less hope to ever pass something like that! I'll stick to my lil ole IT job... How's your little 'missy' doing?

Your family sounds much like mine! We're from the hills of WV, so my grandpa, etc, was in logging, rather than farming. BUT we do still have a couple of tractors that were his and also his dad's. Plus our family somehow got 'big' into Tractors about 25+ years ago. My Dad and I restored our '35 A when I was 12 and a '42 LA when I was 15. Now I have my DH hooked and we've bought an H...and he's looking for a D or an A on steel. I just keep saying "one at a time"...if I could just keep him away from my uncles we'd be okay! LOL!
Hi Susan! Mine will be on the way tomorrow. I have some other things I'm sending you as well...so the box will be a little heavy=). If you could just return my tins and these in the same box that would be great. Or we can meet up somewhere. Thanks!

LOL Pathophysiology is the study of the processes of diseases. Our teacher is an NP (Nurse practitioner) and is a toughy. The first things she said to us was THIS IS A VERY INTENSE, HARD, FAST CLASS SO KEEP UP AND TAKE GOOD NOTES. I went out and bought a voice recorder right after class.
Little Miss is doing great! She started 1st grade and loves her teacher. She is going to start gymnastics, swimming and Girl scouts all this week. She rarely sees her dad now a days which was a rough change but it leaves her and I so much more time together... it is kinda nice. She has started her own stash of scrapbooking supplies so she crafts with me when she can.
Super busy here but just wanted to update what has arrived!
TNB (Barbara) - Fabulous Messenger bags! Love the fabric and style and accessories!
And thank you for the awesome pecans -- I used to live in CO Springs and also in ABQ so I know Raton pass very well!
Monica: Super cute tissue box organizers and card organizers! Did you create your own pattern or find that somewhere? I was thinking what a wonderful "Get Well" gift with tissues, cough drops, chapstick, etc. in there!
Cheryl: Love the hand sanitizer holders! Did you create your own pattern or find one online? And everyone always needs the tissue pack holders (without them, my packs always get all crumbled up and wasted in my purse)! Cute fabric!
