Finished up my Santas!!! Please be sure to add me to the holiday group too, Linda.
I used the Cricut Christmas Noel and did the vintage Santa in there, using red velvet paper for this robe, shimmer off white for the beard and robe trim, added a metal buckle for his belt and shiny black buttons on his coat. Whew, those took a lot longer than I had anticipated, but they turned out cute.
I'll get these mailed off later this week probably.

WOW Susan those sound beautiful. Can't wait to see them.
No, didn't scare me off either, lol. I just haven't had much time lately, my 4 year and 3 year old (11 months apart) have been driving me crazy leaving me not much time to create. And then when I do have a few minutes it's I just want to sit and do nothing. There goes my peace and quiet time they both just woke up, lol.
I understand perfectly my 2 children were 13 months apart one boy one girl constant battle between the 2 of them. Find time for yourself, it's very important. that's a lot of energy you expand in a day's time. God bless you
Hello ladies. I just wanted to share a video I found. So inspiring! I have been sick all week and just staring at my Ipad wanting to make something but not having the energy. Doesn't help my Ebay shopping either I might say. But enjoy this video and take a look at more of her fantastic creations: Creating a mixed media, altered art, flower fairy paper art doll. - YouTube
margaret thanks so much for sharing the video, that was amazing and so beautiful. She made that look so easy and OMG the finished product amazing and beautiful. Hope you are feeling better!!
I'm so excited this swap is due in couple weeks!!!!!! are you doing finishing touches? hope everyone has wonderful week. recovering from a very bad cold myself. got a lot done while in bed and couple good books read!
The basement is finished and I have been putting back together my craft room. I have my fantasy/fairy dolls complete and think this is going to be my vintage girl.
got them so beauiful and Missmouse yours also how great. QUESTION: everybody sent the I think 4+ or 5+ but we didn't have that many folks soooo do you want yours back OR can I trade them out with bunch others I have available? My neighbor (senior) has been making paper dolls also while she isn't on SCS she brings me bags of beautiful finished creations!!!!! I would be very happy to trade your extra's out with some of her lovely creations IF that's ok with you? please let me know.
Thanks she is good! only reason she isn't on SCS is age and no computer skills at all. actually afraid of the computer! but she does stuff for everyone and donates to lot of school classes in neighborhood She is so interested in the swaps she has made me stuff in every swap I've participated in and is very detailed. good work!

IF what I'm reading is correct it is ok with all who responded (one one I think didn't yet) that we just put them all into a group instead of categories and swap them that way. I will keep in mind the group you had orginial and my neighbor added and so did I so looks like we are each getting back approx 8 to 10 dolls!!!!!!!!! Reason so many my neighbor is 80+ years old she just makes stuff to give away kind helps give purpose and somethimng to do so she brought over a bag full for you ladies and yes I share most of my swaps with her she just enjoys making stuff. It's an enormous variety and all so beautiful I do love this swap!!!! you ladies are wonderful. You will not be disappointed She contributes all time and almost every swap has gotten back more than than planned!
so if I read wrong and you do not want yours included as a batch speak now or forever hold your peace. amen. Have great weekend we are postal on monday!
sorry everyone I've not been here I've been down in bed for week with cold/flu just getting up and getting things done. I did get these swapped and mailed saturday evening so began to watch for them. wonderful job everyone! PLEASE let me know as you receive them.
Remember postal service (per news cast) has had flooding problems also on east coast so mail has slowed some! According to news reports some damage has been done to sort facilities and some locations are diverted just in time for christmas mail headaches!!!!!
If you had address I recongnized as NY or NJ or more northern and in PA I sent private messages to you! check for them ALL swaps now postal as of yesterday the last one.

Linda, this was spectacular! Please do another.
I am so glad you like them!!! I am hoping each of you will be surprized. I've already created several Christmas cards using the dolls. my grand daughters love them I try to add a doll to everything I send to them and one grand daughter is collecting them and putting them into a album!!!!! thanks ladies it took us all to turn out a fantastic swap. I really could do dolls all the time and animals!! every doll needs an animal

you are right!!!!!! I forgot about that cute mermaid bear. maybe next time I'll just do paper doll & bear and anything goes for category so we can use up all scraps. you know they could all be different! since people are all different each could have its own personality and favor instead of all alike!!!!! I'mgonna need more dolls!

Thanks Susan amd MissLittle Mouse (I so love that name for being so happy with the returns) Susan thats wonderful to have (teens) interested in those paper dolls shows you've got young adults around you with their heads screwed on right! Many teens wouldn't give it the time of day. Treasure them and if I'd known my neighbor would have done some "teen" numbers for them!!!! She has had a ball with these and told me yesterday took her back a number of years!!!! she is in her 80"s and still crafty as ever.
she too wants another swap of dolls!!!!!!!!! But it's her idea to just let them be whatever you have scraps for instead of 4 of the same!!!!! she was present when I got mail each time. she loved that little doll someone made me that was black/white with water can in hand! she also loved that Santa she is totally in "wow ville" with these cricut machines!!!!!! I offered mine any time she wants to play but she's scared to death of it! she also loved that little girl with the glitter bouquet of flowers she loved her face. (one of my favorites also) and she really got a kick out of the girl with poodle skirt we laughed so hard she still has her poodle skirt!!!!!!!
Ladies you made our days in so many ways thanks so much from both of us!!!! my angel and I really love you thanks and Happy Holidays! I'll say it again this group rocked!
*** If interested???? There is another round of the paper dolls like we just finished with success and lots of talent and fun!!
This is theme of Spring or Easter! It is a 3+1 (the one being hostess) you will get back 3 paper dolls. ***Each doll can be different They do not have to all 4 be the same!!! Use up those scrap pieces laying around! all 4 dolls can be different.
I would like to add *** each doll needs something as coordinating / accessory piece for her: example cute girl dressed in easter dress with a basket or a bunny or a flower! each doll gets 1 coordinating piece.
Quantity: 3+1 There is also an option to crete some Easter cards using a paper doll as focal point (again all differnet is ok) use up scrap pieces of paper, ribbon etc
so wonderful to have Susan's wonderful computer skills and I'm thrilled you all enjoyed the returns. I've made my sweet angel lady (next door neighbor) happy!!!!! I did open another swap with due date in late spring but in time to get them back to use for Easter cards. Maggie (my angel) brought over today the cutest little boy dressed in suit she made for the spring swap! I told her wonderful but hold back a little !!!!! lol she will have us flooded with paper creations but now she has something to do I get such a kick out of her I sure hope at 80 I'm that all together but at 59 I'm not doing so well she's my inspiration. she says secret to long healthy life is she never drinks!!!! except for ther one time they celebrated the war ending and I did not ask which one (lol)
Happy thanksgiving and holidays to all of you, maybe see you next year in the spring swap!
