Default POSTAL Gift Bags with Tags

Hello Everyone. This is a quick/fast/easy/low cost shipping swap! I'm wanting to gather paper gift bags with matching gift card or gift tag.

The size is any thing under a work area of a 4x6 is SMALL this would be the little candy bags or tiny bags, jewelry bags. etc then the next choice is MEDIUM size which is a work area larger than 4x6 under 8x10 which is your standard paper lunch bag (brown or white) or your small cub bags that have handles. of course if you which to make paper bags no problem!

Will require each bag has matching gift tag OR gift card (3x3) and at least 2 embellishments. More is always welcome but at least 2 embellishments. such as ribbon, jewels, bling of any kind, glitter/sparkle, fibers, die cuts, brads, paper pieced, beads, flowers, card candy on hand, paper dolls, you get idea stamped is great but stamped must be colored in and possible matted (see examples)

It's a 4+1 the one being for hostess (thank you) I will swap like size for like size so if you want both sizes do one spot in each you will received back at least 4 for your needs. I will also be crafting in each category as well.

they DO NOT HAVE HAVE TO BE ALIKE (***DIFFERENT IS OK) so great way to use up small pieces or small quanities left over fromanother project. These should ship with a small cost especially those small size but either way its a flat envelope.

Will be due May 1st. in time for all the sping/summer holidays and birthdays and new babies!

thank you and welcome! I'm always needing a gift bag tired of buying bags that really have NO personality at all. Don't know why I didn't think of this sooner. especialy with baby showers, mothers day and fathers day I got 2 family birthdays just makes sense to try it.

so glad you joined in for the fun! I just bought this paper piecing pattern set of animals they cover front of bag and then have a detailed cute back side version!!!! adorable so I'm going to do couple of those and stamp a couple that's plan so far I'll post picture as I finish encourage everyone feel free to post pic's!!!!!

prizes 1st is stamp ink pad 2nd is pack buttons 3rd most likely ribbons. I don't know yet for 4th and 5th but be will prized at those spots as well.

Please sign me up for women/girls small and medium bags and men/boys small bags. This sounds like a fun swap and I have drawers full of bags (and possibly a problem with collecting and hoarding!)

I'll post picture tonight of my stamped spring gift bag. I used all kinds of flower stamps and just stamped everywhere in differnt colors of ink. then made a pretty speciality floral paper topper with a sheer ivory ribbon bow. the bag is white and little larger than a standard lunch bag. I think a flower added to bow but be awesome I wish I could make simple little flowers. if you have a card candy flower available that would complete the spring look really great!

I am almost done with my masculine bags. Once I'm done, I'll post a photo too. Can you add me to the small women/girl group too? I have a couple of ideas for these.

Such fun!

to clarify EACH SPOT IS A 4+1 (TOTAL 5) PER SPOT so think about what you want to do if any I'll remove all until you respond as it is a time committment. EACH spot ( 5 bags) either 5 male bags or 5 female bags all same size. don't have to be decorated alike. I can't do a mix/match type it just would not swap out right. I try to evaluate your cost to mail verus what you get back and for it to be profitable to the swapper that's how I arrive at 4+1 per spot per either all male or all female spots.

well I sprayed glimmer mist and it looks great. so an easy bag would be alcohol inks and some shimmer or glitter mist and ribbon on topper looks great! I was experimenting with this one but I believe time per bag could be around 1/2 hour to 45 mins start to finish (all materials right at hand)

I did a summer sunset with reds/yellows/orange wonder what a winter sunset with blues would look like or even a moon glow sky with stars? or a clouded sky with a airplane for a travel gift bag?

Idea, if you participated in ANY PAST CARD CANDY swaps and have left overs those work great on a bag as the focal center piece and little decorating around it (done) or on the tag (saves time and uses up something you haven't yet) works since they don't have to be alike

Card candy is just the term used for embellishments. Flowers, butterflies, doodads, etc!

I'm working on the medium women bags now. I don't know why I don't do this more often. They are so adorable and easy to put together and cheaper than buying a gift bag especially when you have a room full of supplies

Here is a picture of the boys bag I made. They are Martha Stewart treat sacks that I bought on clearance several years ago. Just waiting for the perfect opportunity to use. They are clear bags with a card stock insert that covers the bottom of the bag and the back side. I added a black card stock panel for the front and then decorated the panel. The entire piece slides into the bag and then ties closed with a ribbon. I made a matching 3x3 gift card. I'm working on something similar for my girl bags, but in a different color. I'll post a picture when they are done.

The entire piece slides into the bag and then ties closed with a ribbon. I made a matching 3x3 gift card. I'm working on something similar for my girl bags, but in a different color. I'll post a picture when they are done.
