Ok, here goes:
how you got started
- how long have you been doing this
I made my first stamped card in 2002 and was invited to join a Stampin Up group. I joined the group and fell in love with rubber stamping. Thus began this most wonderful artistic journey that I hope continues until I have breathed my last embossing powder, oops, I mean my last breath LOL
- do you have any other hobbies
I am an avid gardener and I love to travel.
- a bit about your family & friends
My furry family - Millie - is like my shadow and is always at my side. My non-furry family and friends are everywhere except where I am, but we stay in touch and it's another opportunity for travel.
- favorite tools of the trade
Oh boy....there is so much that I love haha. The things that I reach for constantly: Ink and stamps are number one. Then paint, art mediums, dies, the Vagabond, Wink of Stella, and stencils.
- something we might not know
For the past few years, my travels have been combined with artistic endeavors including metal clay workshops with Lisa Pavelka on a Greek island, Tim Holtz/Wendy Vecchi classes on their Mexican Riviera cruise, and one insane week where I took a class in every offered slot at Art Unraveled in Phoenix (P.S. I DO NOT recommend taking this many classes - LOL).
- favorite swapping experience
It was the first time that I joined a swap, It was a swap on SCS (I cannot remember exactly which swap it was) but much like finding that first rubber stamp, this first swap showed me how much fun it is to be part of a virtual community of others who enjoy creating and sharing their creativity and themselves with each other. WOW !!!
- anything else that you would like to share
I just was to say this is a big honor for me and I thank you for it. This means a lot to me. I was totally surprised. I am so blessed that I somehow found SCS and all of you guys
Here's to years and years of more swap and thread revelry together....
