Hey girls don't feel shy sign up for another spot or two, I am in another swap that I thought I was finished, but it just still looked like it needed something so I stuck a stick pin in each piece. that did it!

Now to find my beads... I was shopping online and saw something I think I am going to use as my inspiration.

Ok, I'm addicted! Watching those you tube videos was a mistake! So many neat ideas! I finished my first set and since I still have plenty of time until these are due, I'll take another spot!

Those videos are like being a deer in headlights, you see it coming and you just have to stop and watch it come at you. I watch so many of them...some of these girls just go so far over the top with their crafting, so beautiful and frilly.

I have you on the list for another spot. Thanks

I started on mine....I am having so much fun making these. I will probably take another spot also, but I don't want to commit just yet.

I use to make jewelry years ago and doing this swap reminded me how much fun it is....I just may have to give it a go again!

Does anyone have a favorite spot to purchase themed beads?

So I watched a video and it suggested buying 30 gauge wire and just cutting and straightening it... anyone here do that?

I haven't done that, but I have used head pins. They're about half the price of corsage pins at Michael's, which is about the only place in town where I can find beads and findings. They're having a sale on beads this week, but I still find it pricey. Where does everyone shop? Any good online stores?

I hit a couple of thrift stores after work today and did find some cool beaded necklaces and bracelets for 70 cents each! The necklaces are long, so they have quite a few beads on them. Way better than the prices at Michael's and I am recycling!

Another place to check out is artbeads.com. You can buy individually, if you don't want a lot of beads.

They are not as sturdy and have no sharp point. I have received some made from wire, and they are not always straight either.

I was spoiled, when I lived in Omaha, I had bead shops that I would shop at for specialty beads, living out here, I am having to find all that stuff all over again

One place I used to buy from is Wholesale Beads and Jewelry Making Supplies - Fire Mountain Gems and Beads good quality, but the cost can add up fast, they have to many things that are a must have

That is true they do bend quite easily, sometimes you need a point that the wire does not give you
