Hey ladies, I'm going to post some pictures of a paperbag mini and a chipboard mini I've done. Going to see if I can do a 6x6 with a paper bag..this should be interesting.

I watched a u tube video last night the lady makes small books using envelopes!! junk mail envelopes!!!!! all those return postage envelopes included inside junk mail she uses them (recycles) and creates the cutest mini books she came up under search for mini books. video is step by step and completed project is less than 1/2 hour for construction. fantastic (no expense) mini book!!! check it out.

I'm not usually very excited about paper bag albums......However, yours is absolutely gorgeous! Actually, it took me several times going through the pictures to figure out which one had the paper bags. Through process of elimination (I recognized the chipboard album) I figured the other elegant album was paper sacks! Amazing!
ok you're welcome I think? I just got excited thinking of all the possibilities.
Anyone else in 6x6 scrapbook (you know who you are....stamp wizard and cherrylime) what theme could you most use? I'd like to hit on a theme or 2 that you could really use. got kids? babies? pets? feedback please!
Linda
Thanks so much for asking! I don't have any kids but i do have two kitty cats. I also like to scrapbook garden photos (I love to take photos at public gardens and scrapbook them for future reference).

Linda - Do you know the link for this video? I'm (again) very skeptical about a cute album from junk mail. I guess I have very little imagination.
If you ladies want some INSPIRATION, go to you tube and watch Kathy Orta (paper phenomenon) and Following the Papertrail (Laura) I get my inspiration from them and I keep it on their channel. I LOVE their work!

I'm very happy you all joined... we could used a swapper or two in photo wallets and books... A prize goes to the next person (whose not already in the group)that takes a spot in that group..
I notice that u have me down for an explosion box but I originally signed up for a photobox. Can that be corrected? Thank u
Are you thinking of making a photo box that is similar to an explosion box except you put journaling and photos in it? Because that is what i originally wanted the explosion boxes to be...photo explosion or scrapbook explosion boxes. I think I may or may not have clarified that... i'm a bit of a flake sometime and can get off track.
or is a photo box something totally different? I may have to make a new category.
i'll add more details to the explosion box category...
Sorry to keep confusing everyone. I want these all to be like scrapbook of some sort in which you add journaling and photos; including the explosion boxes

PLEASE give input ....it's for you!!!!
I could probably use pets being I have 2 cats and 2 dogs. Also love the nature/garden themes.
Hey hey Noreen!!!! do you think we have enough people yet to think about double spots in the 6x6 scrapbooks? if not quite yet what number are you comfortable with before we took a double spot? Don't add it yet, just FYI

i'd like to see two more gals sign up before i add you for a second spot...that way the swapping will be even. Glad you're thinking about a second spot though...how great is that!
sorry im late responding but someone was asking about lining the back .. i think they are talking about if you only used single sided paper how it would look blank or plain on the other side.. in my opinion i think it looks better using double sided cardstock certianly less work than double glueing plus it functions better with out extra bulk of two peices of card stock back to back.
I have been using double sided card stock then i cut squares in slightly smaller peices out of coordinating plain or patern cardstock and glue on becuse its slightly smaller it does not interfere with the mechanics of the squash book folds.. i did one out of single sided then stamped journaling blocks on the back i still think the white looks very stark in comparison with the pretty paper on the other side i think if you wanted journaling blocks you could use doublesided paper then add white over that in smaller shapes or squares and that would look better than all completly white ... but thats just my opinion for what its worth......
Happy Monday Ladies...thanks for the input in the squash books...I think lining the back with patterned paper or something is the verdict if using plain solid cardstock as your base.
By line the back you mean adding a cover, then Yes that's what I plan on doing. All the online demos I saw showed covers.
Cherry Lime I noticed you signed up for 2 spot in the squash book category...I hope at least 1 or 2 more people sign up in that group so you don't end up with your own back...I'll keep you posted as to how many sets to send when the time comes...
I probably will do a beach/summer type of theme. Haven't decided quite yet. I always love Halloween anything....

Sorry I'm just now responding...I got that butterfly from Swirlydoos.com
They are a kit club and their stuff is gorgeous. I mean stunning!! Shabby chic and all that!
BTW...are we doing a theme for these 6x6 books or going with the flow and just "working it out"...maybe I can use a paperstack for each album and that'll be my theme...that sounds like a plan huh?
