No fun Linda. I hope it all works out. UGH!

I'll be working on this swap next. I'm so glad I re-read the first post. I thought it was jungle animals and not forest. LOL

Oh good! I was just about to ask what makes up a pair! Glad I saw this. I hope to work on these this weekend if the weather is cooler and the AC gets fixed...

If anyone is interested I have another swap open where we are making mini books and altered tins which you can add mini books or mini albums into them!!! so susan is giving us some idea's see swap titled alter tins, etc and you'll find mini books there. I believe a 2nd swap I also have has a option for mini albums. they make wonderful little stocking stuffers!!!!

THIS IS REALLY CARD CANDY!!!!!!!! I clicked her links to punch art and really we are talking card candy (just what you are doing) so if anyone takes 2nd spot under card candy this week/weekend I'll add prize to that 2nd spot. This gives you idea's of some of uses for card candy. PLEASE share what do you use card candy for?????

I am very interested in this swap but despite reading the thread, I am still a bit confused about this couple thing. So, let me try to be ultra-specific.... A couple- does that mean that each card candy item has two animals on it? Or does it mean you make two of the same animal card candy and put into one package? Or does it mean that each card candy has two animals on it and you make two of them for each package. I understand that whatever the answer to this couple thing is, you send in four packages of them. Thanks in advance. I will be joining the swap- am just deciding what I will do.

a couple is two, so it can be 2 of same thing OR a couple might be boy/girl (add ribbon to one!) OR it might be a mamma & baby (there are numerous stamps and paper piecing patterns with mamma & baby like the elephant that is holding her little one in hug of her trunk. any way you want to represent a couple as two! 2 into one package IF its mamma & baby there would be 2 of them as mamma & baby is one piece! sounds confusuing I know but generally the parent/child is counted as one picture/stamp/pattern/etc BUT you would make 2 of that to create needed quanity. YES, the baby/parent option does require just little more work but well worth it!!!!! so many of them are so adorable. I saw stamp other day with mamma girafee lifting baby to her from ground baby was lying upon this was one stamp with 2 images but would cound as ONE of the required 2 needed. make sense? If anyone else wants to take shot at explaining Please chime in!!!!

I moved sentences together to make more sense, does this help? Each spot will contain 2 animals (as in a couple) Example a pair of elephants, lions, giraffe’s or water animals like fish, squid, mermaids, octopus, sea horse, seals, penguins. Forest like squirrels, skunks, owl, bears, deer, elk, etc ***** This is a 3+1 swap. Sign up for as many spots as you like, but each spot must be different. One spot is equal to 4x2= 8 animals

I still haven't started on these but plan to gather things together to work on them tomorrow. We have an out of town appt tomorrow so I figure I can work on these on the ride there and back and while we're waiting. I already know what I'm doing so that makes it easy.

Hi Linda,
Quite possibly this was asked & answered in the thread and I overlooked it:

What is the maximum size of the card candy you would like for this swap? Ive been in candy swaps where the guidelines asked for nothing larger than 2".

The lady who first suggested swap and whom I haven't seen yet wanted to use a cricuit. I know most of those cuts are decent between 2 and 3 1/2 so I would say since it's for cards, scrapbook pages and personally I'm making grand kids name banners out of them that anything less than 4 inch would be ok. no smaller than inch to inch half! so from 1 1/2 to 4 inches??????? I also wanted to allow so a decent size especially could be decorated/embellished well! Some either stamps or die cuts of whole body animals aren't small. This would allow for using your larger stamps! I saw dolphin who was at least 3 inches, maybe more.

HELP!!!!! WHAT DOES EVERYONE ELSE THINK? IS THIS OK WITH YOU ALL?????? PLEASE VOTE THESE ARE FOR YOU ALSO! Is from 1 1/2 to 4 inches ok ??????? does it fit what you have in mind to create?

I have three spots and the smallest of mine is about 2 1/2" and the largest is 3 1/2". I think your dimension range sounds fine.

I made female and male elephants just to switch things up. The girls are made out of felt and the boys are a velvet paper. The girls have black embroidery floss for tails with 3 seed beads for bows on a floral and pear scalloped background. The boys have black triangle beaded eyes just for fun and I attached them to an animal print square background. Both are attached to the backgrounds with a removable glue dot in case you just want to use the elephant for candy. TFL
