I agree...following directions should be mandatory not optional. Everyone following directions is what keeps people playing and the swaps fun, in my opinion.
This has been a super-fun swap and I appreciate your hostessing it Peggie.
"Ditto" again! I agree with both comments (follow instructions & Peggie is GREAT!)
I came home today to a boxful of journals and I have to say that I love them all!n The jean one is a perfect present for my 9 year old daughter but I will have to tell that she is not aloud to do that to her jeans until they have worn out!
I am new to swapping but I have noticed in alot of the swaps I have done that there is at least one or two people who don't seem to follow the instructions and then I feel let down because I try to follow them myself. We all put so much work into the items that we swap and sometimes it is a little disappointing to receive something that has not been fully done . Just my opinion!
I'm a shipping queen..hee hee!! I love to ship out things and have no problems researching to get the best price. I priced everything out and that was the CHEAPEST I could come up with...those books were heavy!! I'm so honored to always have our Canadian swappers join in, it just seems so unfair they are just miles above our borders and have to pay so much to get things from the US...I sure hope they like what's coming their way!
I was REALLY shocked when I mailed a Priority mail envelope (about 9x12) to Canada and it cost me a small fortune too. I said that to the postman ('that's a lot of money for just up north a ways!") and he just reminded me that it is International mail and we are paying for the cost for US postage and the government negotiated Canadian price.
I've never compared prices, but maybe it might be cheaper on larger shipments to go UPS or FedEx? Have you checked into it? I do feel bad that our Canadian friends (just up north) have to deal with the expense of shipping for US swaps.
On that note...I'm working on ideas for upcoming swaps.... I think I'll post after the holidays ...that will give everyone a chance to recoupe from all the holiday festivities!!
I'll make sure to pm everyone when I do post!
Have a wonderful week ladies and Thank You so much for being a part of my swap!!
Peggie
You are torturing me! Inquiring minds want to know what your 2013 swaps are!
Ya we get hosed when it comes to shipping and of course I'm just not into cards that would be waaaayyyyy cheaper LOL. So it really hits home when people don't follow simple instructions and we pay all that shipping to and from. Speaking of which Peggie I owe you money for return shipping, I get paid friday and will paypal you or something. I'll msg you.
Hi Ladies...I'm TRYING to wrap up the SS swaps I have going...believe me they are the biggest pain in the butt to track down everyone and make sure packages are mailed and no one is flaked on!!
I'm working out details on my upcoming swaps and I may just post it early since there's soooo many of you wanting to know!! I do love to alter items, but shipping is so brutal on all of us....trying to figure out how to do these swaps so it won't "break the bank" when you're shipping...sooo with that in mind, I'm getting the rest of my thoughts, ideas, and details together....as soon as I can get these last swaps wrapped up I can get more swaps going!!
I do take requests for swaps ya know...I absolutely LOVE hostessing!! So send me any thoughts of what you'd like to see, create, or alter I'm always open to ideas...and just as a teaser....here MIGHT be an idea for an upcoming swap: Trash to Treasure!!
Who would have thought that it was a cheese box! One more thing for me to collect and drive my husband crazy!
Being a canadian I have found shipping to be crazy...but I enjoy these swaps so much I just went and got a post office box across the boarder so now I can swap even more!
I have a suggestion for a swap (if there was interest) I have been online looking at all the beautiful banners. I so wanted to make one for Christmas (not going to happen this year) You can make this banners for any occasion and use recycled items to make them (cereal boxes, small thread spools I even saw one that has popcicle sticks, it was a summer theme) Just thought I would throw the idea out there!

I was lurking on this thread..... I have seen swaps for banners that each person made a different letter for a giant word pendant banner. I missed out on it and had almost forgotten about it until i just read this.
Peggie, Can you add me to your PM list when you open a new swap please??
I got my comp books and they're GRRREEEAAATTT thanks for the goodie Peggie As always you're an awesome hostess and look forward to your swaps in the new year.
