Make It A Mini-Album Using Junk Swap
It's that time for another mini album swap using things you would normally thow away. I've been hoarding coffee sleeves, toilet paper rolls and tea packets. What have you been hoarding in your stash till you could get that creative kick to make something with it??
Quantity: 4 (3+1 for the hostess)
Due Date: May 3rd
Deets: There will be no size requirements or vendor requirements. Feel free to make a mini album any size you'd like! No minimum number of pages since your item could be very tiny and only hold a few pages or thick and hold many pages. You can bind them with ribbon, twine, binder rings, ect. You can use a coffee sleeve on the outside and cardstock on the inside. The possibilities are endless! I'll put some examples here for creative inspiration!
Themes are optional
Try to make all 4 albums as close to the same as possible. You are welcome to take more than 1 spot but please make a diffent kind of album for each spot you take.
I'll keep a running list. I LOVE posting pics and as the albums come in I'll post them. You are welcome to take "DIBS" or make a request for any album that you fancy! Just post on the thread or PM me and let me know! This way you can get something you'll love based on YOUR tastes and not just mine
No Vendor Requirements--but make something you would love to give and receive.
Canada and International swappers are always welcome in my swaps!!
When you're ready to mail: Place your items in a ziplock bag with your name and SCS name. Make sure to take credit for your creation by including a post it or some sort of label with your items.You are welcome to send in cash, stamps, or send money via paypal for return postage (just pm me for my email addie for paypal). I print labels offline for those who send cash or paypal and it comes with delivery confirmation. If you send in stamps, include as much postage as it took for you to send plus a few extra stamps. I'll return anything that's not used. I always try to reuse any envelopes/boxes that I can

oh count me in and the first one... I love mini albums... My hubby owns a craft beer store and there are the most beautiful cases and boxes and me and the boxcutter will be going to work...

I totally give credit to nsmac1 (Sabrina) she's been bugging me to host ever a junk mini ever since I made one using a coffee sleeve...I'll post a pic!
YaY!!!! So I have to ask, is it a large brew house? What type of beer does he specialize in? I don't drink beer, have considered some beer batter recipes, I see sooo many cool brands when at the grocery store!
Our school is undergoing major construction this summer and everyone has to pack up their entire classroom and move the contents to the gym for storage. A nightmare for some of us! Anyway, a few teachers have already started sorting and purging and since our school is old, there are some outdated materials up for grabs that nobody wants. Nobody except me! One man's trash....LOL! So, I will be using these discarded items for my mini album. I have already picked up some old bingo cards and markers, library cards and pockets, old books, and flash cards. Everyday there is a ton of paper and cardboard packaging that goes into the recycle bins, so I will be using some of that too! Now all I need is a theme. What does everyone use their minis for? You kids, family, hubby, pets, you? Help me out with a theme will ya? Thanks!!!
Travel, day trips, holidays, pets, hubby & me, family, to name a few. So jealous about all your goodies. I was looking for a library card stamp but can't find any. Saw some cards at a store when I was in Halifax but it was $5 for not very many cards so I was like heck no.

Ok, I've decided after watching the tea bag mini on youtube I really want to do a mermaid album...I made little mermaid polymer charms, have never done anything with them, now I have an idea!
and of course I watched a few more youtube videos and HAVE to do a Halloween mini....geesh this is addictive!!

I hope everyone will like my file folder mini (I got the idea from a close to my heart demo). But now I need a second spot after checking out the links!!! I love that playing card mini, and want to do that, too! My "vision" is to use the hearts cards like in the video, but use masculine papers, etc so it could be used for father's day or a boy's birthday!

It is a full tasting bar with six taps and a bottle shop with thousands of beers....All craft beer, no bud light here... and they are from all over the US and a whole wall of international beers... I do not love beer myself either, and I pick them based on how pretty their label is Our manager is always cutting the cases out becasue he loves the images and colors, he wants to make a wall collage with them, and his pile is getting quite tall, I think he will never notice if I slip some out to make mini albums

Okay, after some feedback from you lovely ladies and looking at my stash, I have decided to go with the theme "Family Memories" and will make my minis using bingo cards and flashcards as the base of the pages. They will also contain lots of other recycled school supply goodies!
One of my set is a recycled project from a recycled project from the art classes at school. They made drawing books from recycled art projects and posters. Now 1/2 the kids are not in art so I'm using the books they made and bound and upcycling them into albumns.
