Default CANCELED Wallets and Whims due Nov 4

SHIPPING ADDRESS IS "APO AE USA" address.

Let's create paper wallets for all kinds of" needs". You may need a clever wallet for a cash gift for a graduate or to give some of your gift tags to a favorite friend. The uses are as varied as the patterns you can find on line.

Make 6, get 6 back, they do not have to match, but they can. Each wallet should be embellished and made of good quality paper.

We have made them to give a selection of Teas, small gift cards, card candy and to carry our BLING when making projects at a friends. Our daughters have requested special wallets to match their purses and outfits.

Join us making paper wallets, if we start now we can finish before the holiday rush.

They would have to be mailed early so we have them by November 4th, 2013.

Let's recap the requirements:

make 6 wallets get back 6 wallets
patterns can be found online
good quality paper
embellish each wallet
make them match or not matching
received by the hostesses by November 4th, 2013
fun and fanciful prizes for wallets

See three different samples in the thread below.

2. Shelley
3. Misty

ok got some questions you said go to internet for free patterns,,,,,, so i did a search on pinterest well there are tons of free patterns BUT they are also tons of styles !!!! so does it matter the style we choose and are these just plain and general or are we doing male, female and children as they are all little different and lots of chose on styles depending on that choice?

i think this is an excellent idea but i think we need some additional guides since I'm sure this is a new project for most of the swappers. do you plan to have groups as male, female and child or do we aim for generic as possible???????

surprized more haven't shown interest I'd get this one out there somehow first time I've seen this wallet on SCS and they are cute and according to MANY utube videos (easy) I found them also using everything from duct tape to legal envelopes to designer papers to covering with clear contact paper to stitched pinterest has great selection might be nice if some pictures were posted or even a free pattern linked ???

Default Wallet Additional Info

Linda,

There are many styles of wallets. We're experimenting with 2 or 3 styles and trying to be super creative.

Stick with making paper wallets; cardstock and or envelopes are okay to use.

Style, paper pattern and embellishment is your choice.

Madonna and Shelley

Those really turned out nice, just found another use for a paper wallet.
I found a gal blogging about using them at her daughter's confirmation, she made
them for the whole group, boys and girls. Clever idea and handy for the money
gifts received by the kids. She said next she will make a wedding wallet for
her niece's wedding.

Yes, we'd just have to increase the size a bit for the taller packages of cocoa or cider.

This was Shelley's idea. I keep thinking of more uses for them. I have a nephew who just graduated; I am going to give him $ in one of these.

Liinds,

I just thought of it after going to the grocery store and picking up facials & bath salts on Friday. I just sent one to my sister today since last week was a rough week for her. I think it's a nice "Thinking of You" gift.

It was only a couple dollars to mail too.

Madonna these are addictive, I think they are challengingtoo. They are different and allow for so much creativity, you know how I love to try to work the instructions to do what I want. Wish we could get a couple more swappers to sign up, just to keep things interesting.

Shelley,

I am going to make a few more wallets this weekend. I like the idea of using these as a "Thinking of You" via snail mail. Just sent a spa wallet to my sister.

you know anyone "thinking" about this swap should jump in these are easy to make & they don't have to all be alike and they are easy on budget for shipping or for give aways to friends, stocking stuffers, co-workers. I'd like to encourage you to try a spot!!!!!
