Hello Ladies & Gentlemen all around this awesome world!
I have been throwing this idea around in my head for a couple of months (it took that long to get from side to side since there is soooo much blocking its way – lol) I asked a few of my buddies on SCS that I know are always up for a Challenge and they thought that this could turn out to be a fun idea. I have several dies, stamps and other goodies to give away for this swap so of course there will be challenges and prizes throughout. I know how y’all like them Challenges.
So, here we go … again!
Each lady would choose at least one letter from the Alphabet. Once you choose your letter you would need to pick a color that begins with that letter and the main image would also have to begin with that.
For example:
The Letter ‘A’ could be used for the color Aqua and the main image could be an Apple.
The Letter ‘Y’ could be used for the color Yellow and the main image could be a Yo-yo.
The actual letter does not need to appear on your item. This way we can use these items for things other than Flash Cards. Although if you would like to use them for Flash Cards that would be a great idea too.
These are both simple examples but you get the idea. There will be prizes for the more challenges letters (thank you Lois for the idea). Those letters would be Q, X, Z. There may be more letters that could prove difficult and of course, those would be prize spots too.
Please note that all letters will be swapped TOGETHER AS ONE group. For two reasons, it will be fun to figure out what letters you receive back and because we may not have enough to swap out each individual letter.
Details:
Quantity is 4+1 (+1 is for the hostess, that's me!). You will receive 5 back.
You may choose to create Cards; Card Kits; ATCs, 3x3s; Tags or an ETC category. Choose as many spots as you would like. Just make sure each spot is a different design.
Due Date is JUNE 4, 2012. I will swap and return them within 10 days.
Please make sure that whatever you choose to do that it is something that you would enjoy receiving. Ive been so very lucky that everything I have received to date has been wonderful. Keep up the great work!

If for some reason you cannot complete the swap, please PM me and let me know. I understand life happens and some things are beyond our control, but please be considerate of others in the swap. Please let me know ASAP if you cannot complete your part so I can find someone to fill that spot.
Mailing Instructions:
Place holders in a large ziplock bag for waterproofing. Include a card/paper with your name, SCS username and name of the swap in your bag. Include a SASE with the same amount of postage that it took to mail to me along with 2 extra postage stamps in the bag for me to use in case return postage is more. I will return extra postage not used.
**Please do not use metered stamps. They are only good for the day they are printed.**
When you are ready to mail your cards send me a PM and I will send you my address. If we have swapped before, my address has not changed.
Prize for first five individual ladies who sign up.
FIRST: Pick your letter. Decide what color and image will reflect that letter.

My question to both you and Lois though -- since you are the first two to sign up.
Since we are swapping out all letters as one big group; how do you feel the categories should be swapped out? Would you be happier to have cards for cards or would you be ok with just throwing everything into a pile (so to speak) and swapping out all as one big happy group.
Please let me know what you would prefer and we will set the rules as such. Thanks.

Lori, I think swapping in the same category would be best as long as you have enough swappers. Personally, I love cards - either size - and card kits but have no use for ATC's or tags. HTH
Welcome aboard. I recognize the other ladies but I am not sure we have met? Thank you for joining us. I see you have been on SCS for a few years and only have 47 posts -- whats your secret!! How do you manage to stay away. I can only imagine how much time I would have if I stayed off of here. lol

Hi Pat! You made it over here fast after I sent you the email. This will be a fun swap and Lori is a super hostess! (2nd only to my DD lol) Glad you decided to join.
I have never been brave enough to do a Swap, Challenge, etc. until I met Lois and she has given me that. I can't believe the amount of time I am spending on here also, it's cutting into my Cardmaking and Scrapbooking! Not to mention golf, biking and any number of other activities. I am excited to be in this Challenge and the T is for the teal family of color, love it. Nice meeting you and hope to be seeing you often.

I just signed up for your kitchen ATC -- that sounds like fun. The females in my family are addicted gadgets for the kitchen. My sister hard EVER cooks/bakes but she has every useful/useless gadget to be found. Im on my way............

Sign me up for cards...I don't know what letter yet...going to stamp fest this weekend and I will shop of something that will work! but I know I will end up taking more.

I always try to give long due date esp since I throw some ridiculous challenges into the mix! lol I'm not sure I know what you mean by using the same theme in multiple spots. Please help me understand. If you choose a hard letter like 'Z' or 'X' you will get a prize too

hey, does anyone know why i cannot get my newest swap name to show up in color. i thought it was going to show up in blue but instead i get gray????? i highlighted the whole 'code' in the 'Edit Signature' section and then clicked on the blue icon and it didnt work. any ideas?
Also, Q is for Quilling which I will put on whatever I make!

I like quilling. I have all these little strips of paper and I never do it. I need to get back into it. I wonder if I could make a coffee cup.....thats my next swap on my list
