How do you trademark something that was a poster from ww2 ? Is he taking it away from the entire country and saying it is his? In that case everyone the word "eh" is mine. You owe me big bucks if I catch you saying, using or even thinking it. Lol
Ack weesht ain't git on wae it. (Scottish version) shut up and keep going. Lol

Well then, if we're claiming things, then I want all those 4 letter words we aren't supposed to say. They get used A LOT. I'll be rich! A quarter in the swear jar, won't cover the fee any more.....hahahaha

Good morning

I have heard from 5 out of 8 swappers - their packages are/or will be postal by the weekend. When these packages arrive next week, I will swap out what I have. It won't be long now - we might have packages arriving today. I'll post updates as they are received.

My tracking number says mine got there today. And if you want to wait to swap them out until they all come in, I'm ok with that.

(DS & I just watched a movie with dinner....16 Blocks)

They are here - and they are fabulous! What a crafty elf you are - I love the Christmas-y feel to all of them They made me feel all Ho-Ho-Ho-y. Maybe I should start thinking about Christmas cards now, you've put me in the mood. Thanks for all the goodies for me too - you spoil me. Love the charms - especially the shoes! I'll have to use them on a special project. It made me remember to put your movie recommendation in my Netflix queue. I'll let you know when I watch it.

Every time one of the little envelopes with charms comes from China, DH says "MORE charms???" Well, yeah. If you putz around on Ebay as much as I do, you can buy charms for ridiculously low prices.

I was REALLY peeved when the big binder clips popped apart. That's the first time I had any problems with the AdTech glue runners. Might just have been incompatible with the metallic cardstock, I guess. I'll eventually reassemble them with red sticky tape- let's see them pop apart then, HA!

And (harking back to the discussion of dye) I spray painted the gold clothespins- it worked just fine. I used reinker on the green ones, that worked fine too- just had to get them nice and wet before using the ink.

I was just too cheap to go out and buy dye. I already had spray paint and green ink!

Every so often, I think to look. I always seem to find things I never thought to search for. And if you stick to the ones with free shipping, it's really really cheap. I gave my stamping group really cool skull charms on their trick of treat bags.

Happy Mail alert!

ajmac - your package has arrived safely.

Tam - these are cuter in person that the picture shows - and they were cute in the picture! The Halloween has lots of detail that doesn't show up in the photo - great stuff here! You made me laugh - you sealed the return envelope! What was that about?

6 packages to go - Woohoo!

It wasn't me - it was that crazy postal lady! I was trying to write you a quick note on the back of a post it and she closed everything up on me! Glad you got them, anyway!

Happy Mail Alert!

mybugandI45, CherryLime, and LabradorDork your packages have arrived safely.

Lori (mybugandI45) has been very ill, and her main squeeze has mailed her clips for her. They are just as lovely as they photographs she posted a while back. If anyone want to send her a get well card, PM me for her addy. I am hoping she is feeling better soon and on her way back to us.

Kim - great job on yours! I especially like the Autumn ones - great paper on those clips! Very cheery clips - great use of colors and embellishments. Thanks for swapping with us.

Danielle - Okay, you're officially on my radar. I just love getting to know new people and learning about their style of creativity. All of these are lovely and I admire your attention to detail. It's when you do something so simple that makes me smack my forehead....the R/W/B clip where you painted it two colors....duh! In all the clips I've done, not once did it occur to me to go for a two tone effect. I admire the simple brilliance of that. Now I'm anxious to see what you do next. These are yummy! Thanks also for rainbow clips for me - they are beautiful

Great job ladies - I'm starting to swap things out tomorrow. It won't be long now!

Yay, they made it!! Thank you for your sweet words I totally went RIT dye crazy and initially dyed the R/W/B ones all blue, but I had a series of brain farts and couldn't make just blue work, then I did a "holiday check" and bam, those were born. LOL. I'd seen something similar somewhere and I too love the simplicity of them. Thank you so much for teaching me the RIT dyeing! I have been dying clothespins in batches for the past two weeks That's why I sent an extra set. I was on a clothespin binge and couldn't stop myself! Glad you like the rainbow clips, those are all of the colors I had dyed and not decorated as of Thursday! (I probably need a 12 step program or something). As I sit here on my couch I see about 60 dyed pins in two different places in the living room. ROFL.

PM'ing you for Lori's addy. I hope she is getting better.

Dying clothes pins is like eating potato chips. I too need the 12 step program for dying things. I think cotton string will be next.....

It's just so easy and it doesn't help that the only thing I've ruined is a bamboo spatula thingy because I poured dye into the sink and by the time realized the sink wasn't empty, I had dyed half of the thing blurple, no major loss and it actually looks kinda cool. I've got a few spools of seam binding around here. I bet that dyes like a dream...

That's going to depend on what the seam binding is made from- if it's cotton, you're good. If it's polyester or nylon, it's not going to take dye well at all. (man made fabrics tend not to accept dye (polyester=plastic), where natural fibers like cotton, wool, linen, and rayon do. (Rayon I was told is wood fiber?)

It's rayon. I'm gonna test some out today! I didn't know rayon was a wood fiber. All I knew was using a lighter to keep the ends from fraying causes small fires...and burnt bows. I love the stuff, but it frays like nobody's business.

Hi Joyce -

Thanks for the update!

I will send Lori (mybugandi45) a card - she is a fellow San Diego girl. Bummer to hear she isn't feeling well.

I always thought rayon was one of the plastic made from petroleum products. Imagine my surprise when my friend Helen disabused me of that notion! (Helen is one of those knows everything about fabric and sewing people- she designed and made me a Victorian ballgown, and also designed and made me my wedding dress- which was silk, which is also a natural fiber that one can dye, although I've never had the guts to dye the dress. She made it specifically so that I COULD dye it to wear later...)
Good luck- I want to know what happens when you try, OK? I'm all for experimentation! (Which is how I ended up coloring one of my batches of clips with reinker)
Ask Joyce some time about me & experimentation (from her background papers swap). I sort of get carried away with the creation process.

Default Waiting, waiting, waiting....

Checked the mail last night. Nothing yet! Good grief! This waiting is stressful.

I received the sweetest box of treasures over the weekend. Thank you all so much for your gorgeous work. Thank you, Joyce, for hosting! I love the ATC swaps, especially PAT, but this has been my favorite one one so far! I'm so motivated to make some more of these and I hope we can keep having these swaps a few times a year!

The giant binder clips are awesome! I have a few of those around here, but never thought of using those (doh!) Ya'll are some creative geniuses and I'm glad to be able to share and swap with you all!
