I may have to post pics of our get together... good idea. My sister's are bringing a few things, but Lawrin (hubby) and I will be doing the bulk... I've been decorating and changing a few things in the house. 1 year after my stroke we literally tore the upstairs apart with awesome intentions of redoing all that we torn apart. Well, money became a major issue with all the new drugs and doctor appts and my income gone. Soooo, we have only just started work again! The kitchen seems to be the big bone of contention. It's just so expensive and by far the the most time consuming! We will be painting our cabinets as it's the cheapest way.
AND, I finally have decorating ideas for each room (that only took 4 years to figure out!) We are doing everything DIY. I am finding most all my ideas on the internet (90% from Pinterest / Home). Be very careful - that website is AH-ddictive!!! I have folders for each room and I keep all my ideas and measurements in them to stay focused. I will pot before and afters as we finish each room. My ever so dear hubby has made a vow to me. He knows how upsetting this house (in it's current state) is to me. So, he's vowed to have this upstairs completed by our Christmas family dinner!
WOW - I am a chatty patty today aren't I? Okay - time to get moving. I've promised wild man a trip to Wally World to get a really cool Lego kit and new pool goggles (even though the pool doesn't open till the end of May!!) lol
I can't believe how quickly spring break is going! Not sure what we will do today. Maybe the library? I do have a few more errands to run before my sister and their families come Sunday. But, I did to much yesterday and today I'm a little soar and I'm fighting a migraine. BUT, the house looks great! All I have left is two bathrooms to scrub (icky!).
Well, I have to get ready for the day. We slept late so the day is starting late!
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter day! Hubby and I actually enjoyed my family being here. It went smooth and all ended well. Now, I am trying to recoup. Being that busy really zaps me and I take a day or two to get back to normal. So, I am checking in and head back to bed to rest.
I am off to the neurologist's office to set up a lumbar puncture. We are testing for intracraninal hypertension. I swear at 40 the warranty ran out and I started falling apart!!
Smiles to everyone and I hope you all have a wonderful day!!
Hi guys - another leave of absence but at least this time it isn't my state of health. My 90 year old Grandmother had a massive heart attack late Thursday / early Friday morning. I packed up and headed the moment I got the phone call. I've only returned late last night from St. Simmons Island. I had to come back for the kids. I will hear later today the results of her angiogram. She had recently had her knee replaced and the doctors feel that is where the clot came from. They feel there are multiple clots and most are free floating.
I am sending all of the fabric flowers out priority (at my expense) as I left with them all sitting in the back seat of the van and honestly my swaps didn't cross my mind (so sorry).
So, I am working to get caught back up with my swaps and with the posts to my threads.... Thanks guys for being super supportive for that little black cloud that seems to be following me as of late!!
I actually was able to craft today!! I sewed 2 dish rack mats. I organized my gathered goodies for my whimsy jar sisters. I cleaned the kitchen, started laundry (why does laundry multiply at alarming rates when you turn your back), cooked dinner and now I picked up our bedroom and vacuumed. I almost feel back to normal.
I don't have any words yet about my Grandmother...
Spent the day helping my parents pack whats left in the house. I worked very hard for them and now I am paying the price. Pretty soar today. I wouldn't have it any other way! I will miss seeing them when they are fully gone.
Today I am looking to be creative in some way. I will have to run errands tomorrow, go back to mom and dads on Saturday to pack some more. I will be leaving DH and DD to do more work. I will bring wild man home with me. Then Sunday I go back out to the house cause my sisters are coming to go thru the items my parents will not be moving to Jax. I will have already had my chance to get what I want. My mom has been clearly funny and decisive about me taking what I want 1st. Kinda funny that she is not shy at all with her feelings about my sisters, me and my DH. She loooooooooves my DH.
Oh my, I am running on and on.....
Okay, I'll spare you guys. lol I hope each of you have a wonderful day! Hope you get to be crafty too! hugs
Hi!!!! *waves frantically* I'm still here. Can't believe how busy things have gotten and it's nearly the end of the school year!! I've barely got time to shower anymore! (Shh...don't tell anybody!) Off to read and catch up on what I've missed

:waving back at cha: I am hanging around too! Glad to "see" you!! I've been working with my parents in their house here, getting it all cleaned out & up so we can get it on the market. Hard work....
Hope everyone has a wonderful crafty day! Smiles to you all!!
Cleaned a bit yesterday so today, maybe a little crafting. I did manage a project yesterday... here's the link. See, we are already counting down to the end of school, well, wlid man is! lol
I also added some of the decorating we've been slowing doing around the house as we "re-model" our home. A task toooo long in the making!! I have tons more I am working on and will load within the next few weeks too. I'll let cha know!
I hope this finds you all well and having a good day. I was up and going yesterday and today early and I didn't have my morning SCS/computer time. I always feel so jumbled if I miss that time.
I hope everyone's tags are coming along nicely. It feels like this due date crept up on me this time!
I am cleaning up up the house. Bringing over car loads of items from my mom & dad's house as they clean out to put the house on the market. It's a wonderful thang cuz all the big items have stories and memories attached - BUT, until our house is finished, we look like Sanford and Son's!! I'm not joking!
Well, now to the kitchen. Still have not been able to replace our dishwasher and I am the only human in the world (ok, in our house) that knows how to hand wash dishes!! It's a crazy weird thang!! I am sorry I never worshiped my dishwasher while I had the chance.....
Yeppie! I am so happy. I have an Estate sale to go to this morning and I am excited. I enjoy these things and rarely are they in my own area! So, maybe today will be a yard sale day.
I have an antique desk to strip and refinish. It's sitting on the back deck for me. I want to do some paper crafting too this weekend. I don't have to go to my parents house so I am free and super happy! I cleaned the house yesterday afternoon, so yeppie - I get to play today!
It's Sunday and DH leaves for his 1st "real" trip of the 2012 race season. This trip is 10 days and he'll be in Belgium. Getting him ready now and the kids and I will drop him off at work here in a little bit.
When I get back, I will craft! Haven't been down stairs to craft in a few days, I'm going thru with drawls! lol
Hope your DH has a great trip Peggie Sue and you enjoy your crafting time!! I am in a cleaning mode - going to move all my crafting treaures from the LR to my crafting room..

Wow, have lots of fun moving goodies! Sometimes I feel like re-organizing can be lots of fun!
I am hoping to hear from each of you about when your packages will be postal, just a check in... pretty please.
Funny, as I sit here I am listening to my bird (I have a Green Cheek Conure) and he's so happy this morning! I moved him over in front of the window and he's making the cutest little sounds. So sweet!
Well, it's Tuesday and I actually have a hair cut scheduled. I rarely ever get my hairs cut. Maybe 2 times a year...
I've grown it back out and it was really long. I had 3.5" cut off about 1 month ago and have decided it's still too hot and bothersome. Gonna cut up to my shoulders this time. Besides, the older I get the dirtier my blond gets and it's not nearly as pretty as it use to be color wise. But, now with the white/gray coming in, I so look like I have hi-lights! LOL
Your packing time is winding down Peggie Sue - know you'll hang in there with your usual smile!!
Am planning on some crafting time intermixed with everything else that is on my list today. Need to prep some projects to take to the beach park tomorrow since we have to go down around 8AM to hold a table for a baptismal party in the afternoon. Paper, breakfast, coffee and crafts at the beach park - sounds perfect to me!!

Dang Lady - you make me tired!! You are always doing cool stuff! I do hope your celebration went well and everyone had a great time together!
Finally headed downstairs to craft (I think). Have a wonderful Saturday night!!
Good monirng - nothing on my "to do" list but swaps. I have a handful of "new to me" cards swaps to do. I worked on Christmas in July a little yesterday.
I am almost done with the stress fracture boot on my left foot only to realize I am 98% sure that now a fracture is sowing it's self on my right foot!! Maybe I've not been slowing down enough and my body is trying to force me to slow down!! Maybe this time I will listen... gotta call doc in the morning to get MRI lined up!
Trying to take it easy today. Fell yesterday, HUGE bruises on my left high - they are the size of Texas! Guess I got tripped up over my dang fracture boot. Feeling a little better today. Hubby cam home yesterday from Belgium and I slept like a baby!
