I love the idea of buying a small real tree to have on my desk or entryway during the holidays.
And to decorate it, I thought, “Why not host a swap for miniature ornaments?” After all, some of the most creative ladies I know are on SCS! They can also be used as small gifts or package toppers.
Requirements: Create 6 miniature Christmas ornaments that are less than 2” in size, designed to hang on mini-trees. You will receive 5 different ones back (the +1 is for the hostess). They may be made from cardstock, stamped, beaded, shrink plastic, polymer clay, fabric, etc… get creative! NOTE: If you are making them from paper/cardstock, they must be a min. of two sturdy layers and have at least two embellishments (not including the cord). Make these something you would be proud to hang on a tree or even use as a package topper, not just a tag. They must have a hook or cord from which to hang and be a Christmas/Winter theme. They must be individually packaged with your name/SCS ID on them so we know who made them and so they get safely to their new owner. The packaging does not have to be fancy, can be plastic wrap or bags, but if you want to do something fun with that too, feel free.
Due Date: These MUST be in my hands by November 1, 2013, so I have time to swap them out and get them back to you for holiday decorating. Any that have not arrived by Nov. 1st will be considered a flaker; any arriving late will not be swapped and just returned to you. Please don’t put me in the position of reporting you as a flaker. Create and Mail Early!
When you are ready to mail, send me a PM to get my mailing address, and be sure to enclose a Self-Addressed Return Mailing Label inside and sufficient postage to get these back to you. Keep in mind some may be heavier than those you send, or breakable. The small Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes would be ideal. I will return any extra postage to you, and I try to reuse packaging whenever possible.
So who wants to celebrate the holidays with a “little” extra décor?!
Limit of one spot per person please until more than 10 signed up.
