OMGosh! Until you see what the damage actually is its hard to imagine! WoW Steffie you really did have to gut it! In the end you'll almost have a new house! I've seen pics on the news, but until you know someone going through this it's hard to imagine!

I was only able to listen to all the happenings of the Sandy Hook Elementary! Such a sad event so close to Christmas for so many families! I was stuck in a vehicle all day and it was such heart wrenching news! Makes me hug my kids tighter and love them even more! So many tragic events have happened this year! Hoping 2013 will bring new hope! <3

Yes it was hard to see my 7th and 10th graders get on the bus this morning. We have extra police presence at the schools today. Not sure if other schools in other states are doing that.

Well you already know I've been workin on sketches for this. I'm pretty sure mine will be pinks and blacks. Yes yes I know I like my pink and brown combo but I have more pink and black papers from EchoPark and will probably use them...

I am definitely ready for this holiday to be over with so I can move on to the next one. We have to travel for Christmas as we have no family here. I have lots of ideas swirling round in my head for this altered Valentine. Can't wait to get started.
Have a safe and happy holiday!

Searching for the perfect 'L'. I think I already know my background material and shape of my 'tag'. Now for all the other fun stuff. Going to see what the craft stores have out for Valentine's Day.

I feel like I'm the worst hostess....i really havent been checking in for this swap or keeping it bumped for more players!! I have to tell ya I'll be so happy to get my family back on a regular schedule! I find I'm running errands with or for the hubby, running for my business or just running out of steam to do anymore! Do you ever feel like you're running in 4 different directions....if only I could clone myself anyone ever feel that way!

Well back to the crafty aspect...what is everyone recycling for these lovely banners??

I save so much stuff I have no idea what I might use. But I did get that new punch Martha Stewart had on HSN so I am thinking of making doilies from some red tissue paper.

I have some funny little paper cut-out characters I collected a few years ago who are looking for mates. I hope whoever gets the "n"'s with them will laugh out loud like I did when I first found them. I am pulling together backgrounds and baubles for the pieces. The banner (or whatever it turns out to be) is a cute and fun idea. Valentine's is one of my favorite days.

I agree Robin!! I love how simple it is...and such pretty colors!!

Marilyn, you live in Maui but do you work on another island? The islands always confuse me...I think it's because I never visited there. I see pics all the time and heard the weather is a constant 75 degrees, is that right??

Not to confuse you Peggie. My home is on Maui and I am still recovering on Kauai from my foot surgery in August. DH's mother needs 24/7 care so he had planned on moving to Kauai permanently in August to care for her. We go back to Maui monthly for my doctors' visits. I teach on Maui and am on unpaid medical leave for the year. Am thinking I may just retire - birthday is tomorrow and I will have worked continuously for 51 years!

I'll take a L in Group 2. My students made cupcakes today, so I have tons of cake boxes I can cut the backs from.
