Default **HOMEWARD BOUND** GRUNGE TAGS - ala Tim Holtz

Over the Christmas holiday, Tim Holtz of Ranger, did the 12 Tags of Christmas on his blog: Tim Holtz. Since it was such a hit, he's started doing monthly challenges. You can find both the Christmas tags and monthly challenges along the left side of his blog.

I love the look of these tags.
I love the techniques he presented.
I really want to try - but so far have lacked the motivation to get started!

HELP ME!!

PLEASE read this part carefully:
1) Create 6 tags (5+1) using a mailing tag (approxiately 3x6) - store bought or create your own out of a manila folder.
2) Use a one of Tim's grunge techniques - or use them all - or come up with your own.
3) DOES NOT HAVE TO BE CHRISTMAS or TIM HOLTZ RELATED - Artistic Outpost has some great stamps that would be perfect too! But you're free to use anything (including no stamps) on your grunge tags.
4) They can be alike or individual (individual will kill me since I'll want them all...but...) ;)
5) Other than than - no RULES! Just remember to send something you'd like to get back....

Well...one more - THE DUE DATE OF APRIL 25TH IS NON-NEGOTIABLE. If you swapped with me before you know I'm FIRM about it. The due date is 2+ months from the original date of this posting - you procrastinate at your own risk. **Canadian swappers keep mind it can take 2 weeks to get across the border!**

Mailing instructions:
1) Place swap items in a large ziploc bag.
2) Write your real name, SCS name, and swap name on a piece of paper or the bag for identification purposes.
3) Include a self-addressed stamped envelope.
4) The amount of postage on your SASE should be the same amount that it takes to mail to me. Include additional postage which will be returned if not used. No metered strips. **Canadian stampers you can send me Canadian postage equivalent to what it costs to mail to me OR goodies in the amount of the return postage ($2-3). I'll swap that for the return postage to you.**

Mail to:

245 Sun Ridge Ct
Woodland Park, CO 80863

OR

720 Misty Pines Cir

Hi Deb, Please include me. I have used a couple of the techniques from the Tom Holtz "12 Tags..." but would like to try a few more. Thanks.

Deb,
You may add me to your list. I am a Tim fan and I used to make lots of tags.
It might be fun to get back into doing some. Hugs, Andi

Cool, Deb! I bought some of his crackle paint but have yet to crack the seal on them. Sign me up, and I will try and come up with some cool idea. I loved all of Tim's Christmas tags, too, but I have lacked the motivation/time to give them a try. This will keep me in line to get them done

WOW! I just re-visited Tim's site and actually looked hard at all of his tags!
These are so cool, and it's going to be fun to make the tags to swap up.
I might get started on one tonight, just to switch gears from ATC's a bit.
I can't wait to see what everyone does with these. Andi

Hey, Ladies! I have you all down.

Mom and I had such a good time yesterday - but I had so much to think about. I'm buying a house that's on a SHORT SALE (the house is near foreclosure and the seller's bank has to approve a smaller amount on the loan than is due - this is taking WEEKS for bank approval)! So, I've been looking at other options - and found one yesterday. Now for the BIG decision...which house??

So to take my mind off it - Mom and I went shopping for new furniture and linens! WE HAD A BLAST!!! But I was so exhausted last night when I got home - I put off checking in on my buds here on SCS...

So long story - but I have you down now and I'm excited that you're excited about this swap!!

How exciting! A new house! And new furniture! I guess we can forgive you for neglecting us.....lol

About the due date- I appreciate that you are willing to stand behind your due date. Sometimes these things drag on forever. I was in a swap that finally arrived 8 weeks after it was due. Argh!

I've been wanting to try some (OK, ALLLLLL) of his techniques. Sign me up and we'll see what I can manage!! I'm going tomorrow to get some grungeboard. Doesn't have to be all Tim Holtz products, right?

Yeah, me too. I did one that was due Oct 1st - they finally came Dec 1st. Sorry, that was totally unacceptable! A week, I understand. The hostess moving (like Eileen), I understand. But otherwise...

Welcome Scrappy Kathy and Annmic!

Yes - NONE of the products need to be Tim Holtz and/or Ranger. I just offered it up as an example.

You can also stick to JUST Tim Holtz and/or Ranger products!

Can you also confirm the size? I went to buy some today and I think the ones I got were 2 3/8 by 4 7/8 or so. Are these the right size, or too small?

I think they'll work - that's about 2.5 x 5. I can't really tell from looking at the tags on Tim's blog - so I just made a guess at the size.

Yeah Karin!! I didn't know he had a blog either until the Christmas thing - and somebody said "check it" out.

Thanks! Still waiting - I made an offer on the one I saw on Sat.... But released the other house in the Springs. Keep your fingers crossed!!

Good luck with the house shopping. It's soooo much fun and nerve racking buying a home. You can't sleep cause you're always thinking of things you can do and where to put stuff. Just put it in the Lords hands and he'll provide everything you'll need, maybe not everything you want, but He'll meet your needs and you'll be satisfied in the end.
