This week's ways to use it Challenge is a challenge to make a card using something I just finally got around to buying. The Stamp-ma-jig has been on my list for quite some time and now I need some ideas for it. The Stamp-ma-jig is great for lining up sentiments and alphabets and many other things. I know that some stampers can't live without them so I am dying to try mine out. If you don't have a Stamp-ma-jig...you can improvise if possible. I know that this might be a more limited challenge, but do to the nature of this challenge...not everyone can have every product.:( Sad I know! I am doing my best to alternate between more popular item and the less popular ones, so please bear with me...we are running out of products to feature from the catalogue! Let's hope there are many more new cool products in the new catty!!
If you need help with using your stamp-ma-jig or just want to check it out...here is a link to a great tutorial (thanks for the link, Linda) to help you out.
Please remember to put WT65 in your keyword section and post a link back here so that we can all see your creations. Feel free to upload as many as you wish and take as long as you wish. Please respect no Sunday uploads to give our moderators a break.
I have an eye appointment with my son later this morning so I may be out for a while but will be checking in later if you have any questions.
Location: In my Happy Place with no one bothering me....I hope!

Oh Julia, you snuck it in on me. I saw you were online, but then didn't check. Duh!
I LOVE my stamp a ma jig and use it all the time. I once sent mine to my niece thinking it would be okay to be without it until I ordered another one, but I reached for it constantly. Never be without your Stamp a ma jig.
At one of my workshops I was talking about it and one of the guests said, you just like stamping cuz you get to use words like stamp-a-ma-jig! lol
Congratulations Julia - I've been cruising your latest creations in the DD Gallery. Don't have a stamp-a-ma-jig so unless I can find something to improvise with, I will be admiring everyone's cards today. Would a t-square work ya think?

It might if it were deep enough. Do you have a sheet of acetate?
I saw something posted on SCS once where a stamper made a stampamajig out of larger sized legos. I'm going to creep into my sons room and see if I can't recreate it.
This is definately going to be a challenge for me. I have one and never use it. I guess I don't really know what I'm doing with it because when I have used it, things don't come out right. I will definately go and read the tutorial, maybe that will help.

How cool is that...great idea...let us know how it goes!
Woohoo I have one, know how to use it and don't like to be without it. Thanks for the great challenge Julia. Before I had one I improvised with a t-square and acetate.

thank heavens you added the tutorial. DawnMercedes told me about the legos and I made one but never could figure out what to do with it. Acetate! Now I get it! What a clever tool! Will try it out sometime soon. Husband is on vacation and we might be taking a day trip to Amish Country today. Thanx for the challenge.
I don't have the official S/U "S-M-J".... but I DO have a stamp positioner.... I use it just about every day!! I could never be without it. Maybe I should try my Demo's "S-M-J" to see if there's a difference. I might "HAVE TO HAVE" a S/U version! tee hee
Will be curious to see what everyone comes up with..... I have plans for most of today.... Have a great Stamp-ma-jiggy day, girls!
Great challenge Julia, my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig never leaves my desk! I use it on almost every card I make. I absolutely love it! I'm going to try to play later on. Got to get my pooches to the vet.
Michael's sells the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig for $9.95 in the scrapbooking section. But A Lego will work great, make the T about an inch thick, for good depth, the horizontal portion about 2 inches wide, and the vertical portion about 5 inches long. It'll be perfect! It took me several attempts to figure the thing out, but once I did, it was like, well, duh, this is too easy!

Congratulations on the Dirty Dozen!!!!

Thanks for the tip -- now to wade through all the junk in the basement to get to the legos!
I never use the stamp-ma-jig so this was really a challenge. I used By Design to make a Gift Card holder for my sister's birthday. I also used Too Terrific Tags II to make the tag - overstamped one tag with the other. Thanks for looking.
Thanks, Julia, for pushing us again - it was time to use this tool that just sits there staring at me all the time! And a big CONGRAT on joining the dirt pile - it's about time!

Congrats Julia!!! Very well deserved! Now off the check out the DD gallery and wade through the Lego's in the basement. I'll give you one guess about which one I'll do first!
Great challenge...mine has been in the package untouched for at least a year or so. So this is an awesome challenge for me. Guess it time to get it out and play.
WHOO HOO JULIA! Congrats on your Dirty Status! YOU GO GIRL!
I use my Stamp-a-ma-jig EVERY day! Not only is it greta for 2-step stampin', but for word placement (no off-center phrases anymore or sloping sentiments). I also love it for placing an object in jus tthe right place. So glad this is the topic today.

I've used mine but I'm not attached to it! In fact, I looked at the box last night and told myself I needed to use it! So, I'll try to participate tonight!

add me to the list of people who have one of these dealyboppers but doesn't know how to use it. guess I'll be figureing it out so I can play the challenge.
I use the Stamp aligner on a regular basis...and when it comes to words and centering on your project, it is a must have!!
However the sample I made a day or two ago is a retired flower, Regal Rose. I wanted the 2nd step of stamping to align properly on the rose so, yep, I used the Stamp-ma-jig. Regal Rose
Congratulations DD Julia!! Well deserved for sure!
I can't live without my SAMJ. Had posted this earlier, but it fits this challenge and will try to get to another later. This lightbulb would have been a disaster without it, and the bugs would have been out of control!
