Feel free to adjust the sketches to best fit your photos...Flip 'em, adjust them to another size, whatever your little heart desires... Just have fun and use the sketches as a starting point for your page. Remember there is no time limit! Make sure you upload your layouts using the code: SBSC45...Many Thanks!

From Peggy
my scrapbooking written by: Favorite Grandma (Peggy)
My DH and I are SAHG (stay at home grandparents). I try and scrapbook during the hours we arent babysitting, which are few some weeks. I cant stamp or scrapbook when Katie is around as she proclaims maybe I can help.
Seems like I have been scrapbooking all my life, and still have the books I kept my Valentines and birthday cards in even before I started school. Some of the class photos have been glued in right beside my report cards. When the older scrapbooks started literally falling apart I realized how much our family had enjoyed them over the years. I saw an advertisement from a company for a binder, paper and stickers where you only pay the shipping, of course they want you to buy more of their products, but the paper felt like construction paper and I didnt like the binder.
I have a collection of supplies as I try to find my style, but I think it is still evolving. I started doing pages only if I had some type of memorabilia to include on the layout, but then realized there are so many photos that tell a story where there just wasnt anything to keep. But if I do have memorabilia, one of my favorites is stitching/sewing on pockets. I have been stamping in my scrapbooks from the beginning, just didnt have much for stamps, inks or EP. I recently started using the patterned papers and now have a hard time not using them somewhere on a layout, even if it is just a small piece. I have made over 50 quilts, some of them original designs and I like to think some of that has helped me with color choices and balance in my layouts.
I look forward to the challenges each week and appreciate all the hard work our wonderful leaders do to keep this forum fun and active.
I cant wait to see what you come up this week while we are busy entertaining our company at Disney World, I hope to get a few free minutes to check in and will catch up after they leave next week.

The 100 years old link didn't work for me, if anyone else had trouble, here's the link:
Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Also I've attached the challenges as a printable doc to make the inspiration more visable while you're scrapping! ;) :-D The .pdf is everything, but the .doc file is only sketches and theme...the images made the file too large for attachment here, so I deleted them from the word doc...sorry :(

Does Peggy know she's the Scrap Diva? I know she has company this week and hasn't been on since this morning.

ok what is with the fonts and the spaces...I intended for the FYI to be smaller...which would make sense. But instead I clicked on size 1 and the rest of the words turned out bigger! This has been driving me crazy for a while...thought I was just losing it...:???:

Congrats on being the first one done! I love your pages. The little guitar is just too cute. My DH and D(S)D play and they are such a joy to listen to. Maybe your DS will play too.

Here is my page. I had to tweek it a bit but it is basically the left side 12 X 12 sketch. I needed to put three small pic instead of two. I tried to leave one out but just couldn't. The little vellum envelope will hold the tag that is beside it or it can be left just as it is. It is my liberal translation of the sketch.

Triplet Picnic
Here are mine for the sketch challenge. I'm so glad that I keep a blog because the journaling really helped me on this one as I totally forgot about his ball incident.
Triplet Picnic pg 1
Triplet Picnic pg 2
I originally wanted to do these pages in not quite navy but didn't have any 12 x 12 papers left so I went with brilliant blue. I really like how this came out along with the frogs from unforgettable. I thought the flowers were too girlish so I went with the sketch for his pages.

OK, here is my second page. This one is for the Sunshine theme and it does have a sun on it for the bonus. Since the kids and grandkids are all out of town for the long weekend I decided to spend the weekend rearranging all my scrapbook pages for the DGC. Putting three scrapbooks in order has been fun. While I had the pages out of the scrapbooks I have scanned and uploaded a bunch of them. I quit long enough to do this page now I need to get back to arranging and scanning.

Hope everyone is having a nice Memorial Day.
