LSC63 - Life Begins at Retirement!
This challenge theme has been given to us by eliak. Thanks Lisa!
This week we are making retirement cards. There are not many stamps directly related to this theme, so creativity is required. Be sure to check out the samples this week. They are awesome!
Not know of anyone retiring from a job? Get creative with this theme. Make a retirement party invitation for the SU stamps sets that are leaving the catty. Make a card for an elementary student who is going to middle school and has to hang up his/her safety patrol belt (remember those things?) How about a card to help hubby retire those old ratty sweatshirts? Have fun with this challenge! Think about things that have to come to an END.
Please put LSC63 in the keyword box when uploading!
Limit: Retirement Theme
Stamps: Any (Cyber bonus points for using retired or soon to be retired sets)
Cardstock and ink: any
Embellishments: any
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!
If you need help with uploading your card to the gallery or posting a link, click here!

Ok Jen...the only correlation I can even begin to concieve is the butt is the 'end'?....you are right...you are NOT good at giving clues...ROFL here! This is funny, however, and hopefully some of the non-stalkers will be curious enough to join us and find out what we are all about.
Oh well, a real challenge here, I will give it a try next week, hopefully. Thanks for being so much fun!

This is a tough one....I think I'll work the retiring stamps angle. I'll see what I can come up with. At least I don't need to go out and get kitty litter. LOL

For those of you who are confused, my challenge hint was....
Cats don't have to worry about this. Besides, they like their rear ends anyway.
I never said anything about butts ;) or wipes or kitty litter... lol!
Cats have 9 lives, so they don't need to worry about retirement. And the rear END was a word clue. I know, I'm weird :p

Have been wanting to make a retirement card for my niece who retired a few months ago from the Army. This is the perfect challenge... just the push I needed! Thanks, Jen. (Is it cheating to start tonight? Hey it's Friday somewhere.....)

This is going to be interesting. I could do a great scrapbook page on this one. Can we use a picture as part of the card? My DH just started his 20th year of retirement. See what I can come up with.

Jen, are you still celebrating after VSN? I still don't get what it's got to do with a cat's butt either. Good challenge though. Hmmmm......retirement + cat's butt = ???? (big smile here)

Thanks for using my idea. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's cards. My mother and three of my husbands co-workers are retiring and I need inspiration.

This is one I did last spring for a teacher who was leaving for a principal's position. Not retiring but it would do for that as well.

Jen, this is too perfect for me - my sister retires in July - from the shoe dept. at K-Mart after 40 years -- now, Heather, you just know I gotta case your card for her if not this challenge - it's so perfect for her! OK, I'll make something else - but I gotta case those shoes in July! Fun theme!

Hmmmmmmmmmm. Have to put on my thinking cap. Seen the cat butt thing last night when I was silently stalking. I have three cats and aside for one of them having a pink foot from ink...I wasn't really sure about the butt part. No butt prints here!!!!

Here is my card for this challenge. It can do as either a retirement card or as a graduation card depending on the sentiment inside

Gotta admit I'm drawing a blank on this one. I'm still building my stamp collection, and I only have one set that's on the retiring list. Not sure how to tie it in.

Mine is for my daughter's preschool teacher from last year who is retiring this year. I wanted to make this for VSN curves, but ran out of time so this worked out well for me!

You don't have to use a retired set... That's just a bonus to make it more challenging for those who want it to be more challenging.

My niece "retired" from the Army a few months ago. With Memorial Day this month thought I would make her a "retirement/thank you" card. She was in Iraq for close to a year and is one feisty lady. We are all pretty darn proud of her!:p
Here's the card:

Just a note here that I didn't include with the description with the card..
The red cardstock with the simply circles.. it looks like versamark but was actually about my 4th or 5th attempt at bleaching. So not only did the bleaching technique not work for me.. the stamped image got DARKER!! How bad am I??? lol

I had more trouble than I thought I would with this one. I didn't have an appropriate retirement sentiment, so I went with Good Luck. I suppose that works too. Here's my card - pending as of 1:10 CT:
