Let's inspire a bit of physical fitness along with our paper crafts this week! I've selected the inspiring Fitbit Blog which is packed with wonderful health tips, and a ton of ideas for getting more (walking) steps in for the day. Personally, I've been doing Fitbit challenges for the past month, and truly enjoying every minute of it! Then, when I was reading one of the blogs, it finally hit me that the Fitbit Blog is also a great site for our inspiration challenge too! So, enjoy! Let me know if you're inspired to walk a bit more too!
Suggested challenge ideas:
Make a card about physical fitness, sports, or losing weight
Make a beautiful scenic card (a place where you'd enjoy walking)
Pick a color palette from one of the photos on the blog
Be inspired by the textures or foods, and create your own interpretation of the patterns
Goals:
Please don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because it looks like an image on the site. Rather, take the real challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow again, and creating something brand new for the gallery!
Use the keyword: IC611 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words. Include your inspiration image in the description of your project being sure to only include links from the Fitbit Blog.

For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many, or too little, images to choose from, I've uploaded 10 of my favorite designs! So just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger and to get their links on SCS.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
I had an idea of what I wanted to do today before I looked at the challenge; and, when I read what the inspiration site was, my hopes were temporarily dashed. I wasn't sure how I would fit my idea into the Fitbit Blog. I was not, however, disappointed as soon as I went to the blog. Here's my card:
Great inspiration Audrie. I actually am waiting on my replacement Fitbit that should have arrived yesterday but did not (I am going to need to track the shipping). Love my fitbit I wear it all the time.
Love, love this challenge! My walking site is Walking4Fun. I log my steps every morning from day before. We are virtually walking trails. I have done several including the Pacific Crest Trail. I am now walking the Appalachian trail! As soon as I can I will make a card for your challenge. Two photos above already have inspired me. I might have to make two! . Thank you Audrie.
no inspiratiion for a card. BUT this site is dreamed of - a thoughtful, helpful, inspiring way to keep fit. The article for talking to older parents is great - I am the older parent, age 83, looking for inspiration /advice on how to be healthier and happier. You have had several other sites that I have not found card inspiration on but inspiration in other areas.
Thank you for realizing that art is more than "making pictures" and forleading us out of "the box"-
Speakin of ourside "the box" everyone, if you don't already know about Hyperallergenic to look, with an open mind and time to think, at their site.

Fun challenge! Thanks, Audrie! Here's my Paper Donuts (yeah, I know, lol). Thanks so much for looking. (Squeezing in a little creative time in the midst of all the packing is the only thing keeping me sane.)

Audrie- what a perfect summer site! I went with the strawberry salad as my inspiration- and used some stamps I re-discovered while giving away my extra stuff- and added flying Fluffles the Cat for Sabrina (Cook22). Here's Sabrina's card

and I just may buy one of those fitbits.
but, the question I have about these are , do they really track every step? ( I have bought step counters before that do not count for me because, evidently you have to stomp your feet to make it acknowledge that you took a step)
